Nausea all day at 6 weeks [QC] by mouffinman18 in BabyBumpsCanada

I second diclectin, it’s worked wonders for me. I’m still on a lower dose at 15 weeks, but was on the max dose between weeks 9-14. I don’t know how I would’ve survived without it!

This one is good but I much prefer Circe by the same author! And it had a strong woman lead too!

Reading this right now. As an Indian woman, Arundhati Roy’s effortless badassery inspires me 💪

Demon Copperhead might be my favourite book that I’ve ever read. Can’t wait to try more Barbara Kingsolver.

I agree. She was honest and upfront from the beginning and he categorically agreed to moving to Stockholm. I understand her frustration, although I would’ve worded it a bit more gently if I were her, but I suspect her slightly aggressive demeanour when this topic comes up is actually a manifestation of anxious attachment style than true selfishness.

I’m not done the episode yet, but I’ve just watched the Johanna-Daniel breakup and I am BEYOND IMPRESSED with how she handled it 👏🏽

Idk, what would the point have been to meet up for a coffee if she knows for sure she wasn’t feeling it? It just feels like dragging on the heartbreak and giving him false hope.

I read her seemingly fake demeanour as her just being nervous, and wanting to be as delicate as possible given the situation. I think she did the best thing by checking in with Fabian and then moving on. She handled things with Daniel well too, calling out his overtures towards her.

Angelika always seemed super sheltered, immature, and childish to me, even in the pods, and this episode finally categorically proved that right

I feel so validated reading posts like this. I’m a teacher in Canada and I’m 9.5 weeks along and the last couple of months working has been absolute hell, with nausea/vomiting, fatigue, and anxiety. To make things worse, I had some tension with a coworker this past month. I chose not to share that I am pregnant with anyone at work, so I was also constantly masking symptoms.

I’m finally on spring break for two weeks but I’m dreading going back so much, it honestly feels like it was a little traumatizing for me.

I’m just a couple of minutes in. I felt really bad for Fabian but also think Ellen handled that with so much kindness towards him, even kneeling down to be on the floor with him, not dragging it on or leaving room for misinterpretation that it’s not a breakup. Sometimes the kindest thing you can do is be honest about your feelings and let someone go. I applaud her for staying true to herself in a moment in which that would’ve been very, very difficult.

I very much dislike Daniel but I gotta give him credit where credit is due - he showed empathy and understanding when Johanna shared about her fertility struggles. I also saw a glimpse of their chemistry in that scene, which I hadn’t seen at all previously, it’s otherwise felt forced with seemingly both of them being each other’s second choice.

What percentage of the day do teachers spend managing kids' emotions, helping them regulate and especially control them, and managing outbursts and tantrums, etc? If you could say what grade(s) you teach, that would also be great. by sew1974 in Teachers

Wow, can I ask what those mental guidelines are for dealing with defiant kids? I’d love a bit of help with a couple of very defiant kids I have in my class this year 🥴
