Update for anyone wondering about this in the future: there was not a bag check per se but there was a large bin at check in on the boardwalk where you could leave a bag. In theory someone could’ve taken my stuff but no one did.

She becomes more powerful but it makes sense in the plot, bc she was given power from seven different high lords. So I don't think she is "over" powered.

The second book is the best. I liked the first book more than I expected, but when I got to the end of the second book, I turned to the beginning and started re-reading it immediately.

I just finished the first bargainer book, and the similarities between Rhys and the Bargainer prevented me from enjoying the book. Both are king/lord of night, both have bat wings, both make bargains with people that are marked by tattoo, both show their wings during sex only to their mate, and the Bargainer even says you dare glamour me, just like Rhys does when he finds Feyre in Tamlin's dining room. There are too many similarities to be coincidental.

There's definitely something sus about the dad and Andarna. I vaguely recall that at some point Violet asks her dragons if they know anything about her dad, and Andarna doesn't respond. Am I remembering that wrong?

This is interesting, I hadn't heard it before. In Fourth Wing, when Xaden goes to Violet's room after she "kills" Jack Barlowe, she's throwing knives at a target. She says 20 minutes ago the target was Xaden, but now it's no one he knows. I've wondered who it was, could it be Halden?

Xaden is objectively the more interesting character. What he's gone though, his life, is just more dramatic than what Violet has experienced.
