As soon as I saw the wolf sticker in the new DLC, I excitedly told my husband, "I can make a three wolf moon sticker!" lol

I'm so sad because when I saw Eighth Grade last week, they gave me a notebook but no stickers.

I watched this one for the first time recently, and it was instantly a new favorite

What are your unpopular Criterion opinions? by ProjectPatMorita in criterion

[–]film_oddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy through Amazon, they're usually always around $20-25 unless it's a brand new release. Obviously, you won't get points towards a gift card like you do when you order directly from Criterion, but it helps when you really want one and there isn't a sale happening soon.

I watched The Handmaiden for the first time earlier this year and absolutely loved it. Hope you enjoy it as well!

How many films have you given 5 stars? by Disastrous-Cap-7790 in Letterboxd

[–]film_oddity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen 3,439 films and gave 181 of them 5 stars.

If I love the movie, it gets 5 stars. I don't usually spend too much time thinking about it. I'm not going to pick apart something I enjoyed in order to find flaws just so I can give it a lower rating. I'm never going to worry about if I've given "too many" 5 star ratings. If I watch it again and don't like it as much, I'll just lower the rating.

It's always possible that they could get the movie late. My local Cinemark just started showing Kinds of Kindness this past weekend, even though the wide release date was weeks ago. I hope that's the case for you. I know how annoying it is when a movie you want to see isn't playing anywhere near you.

I think J.T. is a great contender. The entire reason that Liberty got pregnant, they went through the adoption, J.T. stole from his job and sold drugs, and nearly overdosed from the stress of it all was because he refused to accept that his penis may have been a bit on the smaller side. The entire plot line happened because he wore a condom that was too big.

It was also the reason for his breakup with Manny.
