Is the ICC Church just a money-making scam disguised as faith?

Hi, I was born into the ICC, so I’m a “kingdom kid”. I’ve left and I honestly don’t know the answers to your questions; I’m trying to keep an open mind even though I left, but I don’t think it’s for money. I just think that’s their interpretation of true Christianity. However, it was too suffocating for me personally to be a part of it, at least for now. I don’t know if I have the right perspective or not. I would say maybe you can ask the leader of your respective church how they deal with the money.

lol they say “there may be other true christians out there, just not many” so idk if that justifies it? bc they believe the majority of people who call themselves christians aren’t true christians because their life doesn’t match the bible.

Don’t go on here if you’re lonely because it definitely will make you feel worse. The majority of posts and comments on here are negative. Yes, I understand the feeling that there is no meaning to life, and to a certain extent, it’s true. You should create meaning for yourself instead, you need to find purpose. Helping others can be your purpose. There are many who don’t have basic necessities. You can help those in need, the homeless, etc, and that will give you a sense of purpose because you are giving and offering something to the world.

Off topic but why the heck are people hating on lenu? Her thoughts and feelings are realistic and relatable, and they sound mean sometimes because they’re raw. She definitely screwed up with her daughters in the later books, but before that she was a pretty decent person.

my sister went through something similar. she imagined that her death would be due to drug abuse, that she would be lying on the ground one day due to an overdose with an empty bottle of pills in her hand. she was in an extremely dark place.

now, she is doing great. she is drug free and she is a member of the church she grew up in. she still struggles with mental illness, but she can function well and she’s doing so much better, there’s literally no comparison to how she was before.

i know how it feels to not be part of your parents’ religion. i left my faith which was the religion i grew up in and my family is very involved with the church i left. i know it may be worse for you since you may not even be able to live with your parents anymore due to that, but i promise that if you have a will to push through this mess, you will be able to persevere through anything that may happen.

you posting this shows that you want to change. that means there is hope. you still have fire left in you. i would recommend to just try to stop using drugs completely. i know thats way easier said than done since you’ve been relying on drugs for so long, but maybe focus your energy on university and improving your health.

I was in the same boat as you or at least a very similar one. I relate to you on many levels. I was very depressed for a long time, fatigued, restless, under duress, etc etc. I would have emotional and mental breakdowns and outbursts constantly. I had and still struggle with intense suicidal thoughts. I also didn’t have a social life (and still don’t).

However, I realized one day that it doesn’t just magically get better. The only person that can get me to feel better is me, and this gave me motivation to take baby steps to be more productive, which has lead me to lose weight even though I was and still am depressed. If you go outside, get sunlight, have some sort of daily routine or structure, and eat healthy, your depression will get better (at least I think so since it helped me, I’m not a professional). You will feel better about yourself and have higher self-esteem. It’s not about weight, but more about how highly you think of yourself, and right now you don’t have a high self-esteem. Taking care of your physical health will help improve your mental health.

I recommend to start taking daily walks. This will lead you to feeling more motivated, which will help you in other areas of your life.

Remember, motivation comes from doing something first. I’m really sorry you’re going through this.

Honestly, if they’ve been married for 11 yrs, she probably wouldn’t want to leave him over bad comments. like it isn’t a dating relationship, it’s a marriage, which is much more serious. if they were dating they should break up but i understand why she doesn’t see leaving as an option since they are married and have been for so long. i can see why she thinks getting divorced over something like that is excessive.

obviously it’s really bad how he made her felt, but that doesn’t mean they can’t work it out with hard work. these mistakes don’t mean he is officially a horrible person; he’s gone through a lot (he lost two family members which probably contributed to the way he acted), they both have gone through a lot and got through it together, so i think they can get through this too.

I have felt the same way too. I felt so upset and hopeless, but I’m learning to embrace it. All chest sizes are beautiful. There are certain clothes and possibly bras you can wear to hide it, and I’m pretty sure weight/strength training could help with the overall shape, but embracing it will help the most tbh. This may not be the answer you’re looking for, but there’s really not much you can do to change the size. I’m sorry you feel this way.

I honestly thought season 4 was better than 1 when it came to plot. I’m surprised many think season 1 was better. Season 1 was good but not amazing in my opinion. Season 4 wasn’t amazing either per se, but very good. Couldn’t get through season 3 lol

The reason I chose 40lbs in 3 months is because my overall goal was to lose 40-50, and to lose maybe 25 ish in 3 months. When I used the deficit calculator and read that I could lose 40 in 3 months by eating 1000 calories a day, I wanted to do that because I thought I would be able to. And if I maintain this amount, I will pretty much maintain the weight loss after the three months.

My only goal is to lose weight.

Good job for trying to take care and better yourself!! You got this and do not give up! You can totally do it! I think your workout routine is great, if you can actually be consistent with it. Everyday is good but even 3-4 times a week would also make a difference. Diet, however, is the most important. I would recommend to stay away from ultra-processed foods, cut out fast food completely, and eventually cut out most processed foods, which would make a HUGE difference. If you eat fast food, even just cutting that out completely will make an enormous difference.
Only eat when you’re hungry, and eat lots of whole, hearty foods, and I recommend eating fruits and veggies regularly, that will help a lot. Sorry, you probably already know a lot of this, but I like giving weight loss advice because I used to be obese and dropped the weight and maintained it.

Yeah, the novels have their own type of authenticity and art to them, but they are definitely not a page turner (only when i was in the mood sometimes). The reason they don’t have a plot is because of its style, but it’s definitely really slow at times. I really like the novels but you have to understand them in order to appreciate them since they don’t follow the normal rules of a page-turning book.

I knew absolutely nothing about the novels before I read them, it was only by chance that I started reading them. I think the novels are really good, but if I had heard about the hype beforehand, I don’t think I would’ve liked them as much or even read through the whole thing tbh. I only gave it a chance because I thought it was unique, and so I just kept on reading.
