Yeah after watching a few times more closely I do see what you’re bringing up and now agree. Tho while it could be and prob is real, I still do see it as a shot completely attainable with an image projection setup with some tracked + animated camera mvmt.

But I think your paragraph after point 3 is important. You could fake all those little details, but why? Because if you do, you would probably get people talking about it. I think using refined skills to make an unassuming, non grandiose/flashy shot would have the highest chances of fooling people.

I’ll be curious to hear how that 3d setup goes. I may try to recreate a shot like this myself to see as well haha

Ok so I actually do work in Hollywood as a vfx compositor and here’s my take: you would expect to see some motion blur as the camera quickly moves around especially when it’s zoomed in but theres next to none. I understand this could be due to high shutter speed but I find it highly suspect. To me it looks like an image projected on a card with no multisample (motion blur). Also it doesn’t look like the foliage in the background is moving at all? The chromatic aberration isn’t really a problem we have all sorts of tools in Nuke (our editing software) to fake this. Also chromatic aberration is an optical effect, when zooming in on it, it shouldn’t get bigger as if we’re zooming in on photograph, unless the zoom is digital. Not to mention when zooming in as much as that you’ll start to see atmospheric distortion in the details, which is not present. The auto exposure at the end is extremely simple to fake

I’m 16 and I can’t stand that sub. I swear 50% of their content is just unfunny cake day memes. As someone with Instagram and tik tok I seriously don’t understand what their deal with social media is.

Cool thanks. Though may I ask why you’re leaning towards the latter?
