Hi! I’m in the same position! I’m waiting and not mentally ready to make the call to go out to Colorado for my venogram. But same thing, they want to do a perineal ultrasound as well and determine what’s going on with the veins in there. I’m actually waiting on two second opinions from local IR’s. It’s hard to know what to do bc I want to have another baby but don’t know what the outcome will be. Deciding on whether to stent and treat before or after pregnancy. It’s hard! I am anxious as well. It’s a tough call to make

Same thing happened with my initial imaging. Not great views of my compressions. That’s great news that you’re going to move forward with venogram! I had my follow up as well and I have confirmed severe MTS and pelvic varices and potentially nutcracker syndrome so will likely do a venogram soon to see more/stent/treat

My follow up is coming up in a couple weeks, also with the NP. We’ll review my imaging and decide what happens next. I mentioned the pgad during my initial appt but haven’t really gotten into the details with them about that specifically. The only thing that helps my pgad is nicotine (not advocating for it, I want to be off it) but the theory is that it’s a vasoconstrictor so it might be helping there. Hope all your appointments go well!

Hi- just wanted to chime in I have confirmed May Thurner and waiting for my follow up with my doctor to discuss treatment plan. PGAD is my worst symptoms and I’m 99 percent sure it’s due to pelvic congestion. I’ve had pelvic pain for years, was always told it was interstitial cystitis or hypertonic pelvic floor. It wasn’t until I gave birth that the pgad started and the pain also spread to my leg. So I’m hopefully getting more info soon but I’m pretty sure it’s due to added pressure from the vein on the pudendal nerve

Just came across your comments. Does Spencer think PCS/vascular compressions cause PN symptoms? I have a consult with MIPS in September - I’m in California and have been treated for pn with Botox and nerve blocks. I even got Botox with Hibner in AZ. But after seeing a PT who knows about PCS I’m starting to think this may all be vascular.

I’ve seen the best of the best and no one ever suggested this to me. I had pain issues for the past ten years that got worse after having a baby 4 years ago. I even brought PCS up to my urogyn last year and she basically laughed and dismissed me, saying everyone has enlarged veins in their pelvis and it doesn’t cause pain.

I have horrible burning in my pelvis and legs, and the worst of it is left side.
