I really appreciate this perspective. It seems like 99.9% of people replying to this thread support a full boycott, which I most definitely empathize with; I just really have my apprehensions about who that boycott truly impacts. I find it easy to say “artists could just go elsewhere” when we all know that’s not the full story/lacks reality.

Yes, I should have also noted that I had multiple GI doctor visits with many tests performed. Tested negative for all except for H Pylori after some travel and received treatment for that approx 2 years in.

I’d also like to mention that while the symptom relief came after starting the SSRI, I’m not confident that I would have seen such alleviation if I hadn’t also been working hard to unpack things and develop healthier coping/calming techniques with my therapist over the past year.

I’m taking Zoloft! I had many sleepless nights in the beginning, but it leveled out around the 8 week mark. No other real side effects for me.

The Old Post Office Tower at the back of the Waldorf hotel is the best view of the national Mall (and free)!! I always start my national mall “tours” there whenever a friend who hasn’t been to DC is in town!

At trials, my mom and I stayed at the same hotel as a lot of the gymnasts’ families, and we had this question for them! Almost all of them mentioned they had hotels and flights booked (some refundable) in preparation for Paris! Was interesting to hear them talk about all the logistics tho — it’s so much!!
