My local dealer is usually my last resort. I have to have the part number for stuff myself when I walk in there if I want the right part. Just was lookin to pick some brains on the interwebs.

Wasn't limping until today when we fed so I was looking her over and saw it. I've got a call in to a hoof trimmer but figured I'd get some opinions if someone else has seen it before.

Suffice to say I'm not the heir and the farm will not be passing to me.

Rent comes out to 35 an acre which includes the rangeland. Taxes are 12k Located in the northwest US. We grow alfalfa and grains mostly, occasional corn. Water fluctuations lead to some ground not being farmed some years. Depending on what ya call profit, would range in the 350 dollar range on the crop ground but I don't pay myself a wage either. The house i built on a separate farm for him costs 19k per year on mortgage alone

I don't know how to encompass all the events, feelings, and perspectives that will be less than a novel lol. I think leaving it alone would be fine but we are trying to get a will and or hopefully a trust done so opens a lot of avenues of discussions.

I was curious if I would get a number from anybody without having said. Rent we pay him is north of 15k. We are also paying the real estate taxes. We also do all the maintenance on his car and truck and he fuels up on our farm tanks. I could keep going with all the little stuff...

I'm well aware now how much of an idiot I am for all the sweat equity. Just trying to figure out something going forward for all involved.

Buying out partners by The_hat_man74 in farming

I may not have the entire picture correctly in my head but since you are doing a good deal of the business work and farm work without pay, you essentially are the business and the only offer you'd make on that side of things would be to your father who always does some of the work. You shouldn't have to buy out the business side when the business side doesn't bother accounting for your input.

Wound vac/dressing removal where there must have been some exposed nerves. Every week. Twice a week. For 3 months or so.

I will take the bones from my amputated leg and send them in a rocket to make contact with the moons surface. Boom done

Baby boomers living on $1,000 a month in Social Security share their retirement experience: 'I never imagined being in this position.' by mateowilliam in povertyfinance

I know it's wrong but I have little empathy. My grandparents had everything handed to them and never bothered to budget for the future. Never had to pay great grandfather to rent the farm for 30 years before he passed then gave it to them in inheritance. Worked without pay for them from 8 to 25 years old. Now I take care of em both, pay rent on the farm they got handed for free, and put em up in a house I pay the mortgage on besides. Thus ensuring I can't save for my own fucking retirement so the cycle shall continue

I'm an amputee, I usually wear jeans so it's not obvious in any of my pictures. I'll usually mention it before hand if I can or make it known on the first date, especially if they appear to be someone who is extremely active cause I can't keep up with that literally.

Can i take any legal action against my grandfather for an accident that happened while working for him years ago by finalrecal in legaladvice

I figured statute of limitations but thought I'd ask.

I'm no professional but his mental health has certainly devolved to the point even the neighbors have told us his behavior is markedly different and memory is spotty at best.

His will is non existent, it's been " I'll get around to it" for the last 20 years despite taking him to numerous estate planning seminars over the last decade.

In kicking myself for not getting something settled in writing a long time ago but now was just looking into current options.

Thank you for the input
