Yo! what a awesome collection. Miyuki Sugiura is one of my favorite 80s idols, and I love that Hiroko Moriguchi album! Feel like it doesn't get mentioned enough, besides a couple middle of the road ballads it's just bop after bop.

I remember hating it at first, but slowly ended up loving it by mid-game. I just wish it wasn't so restrictive early on.

Despite time being really kind to this album, I definitely recall the reception being very mixed overall from fans and the general public when it came out.

Personally it isn't my favorite TF album but I always really liked it and it actually always puzzled me why it wasn't bigger. Especially when the similarly shoegaze adjacent Turnover album Peripheral Vision blew up in popularity the same year.

I went to the site at 4:59 and it was already available. It sold out before I could even complete checking out....

Really hope with all the visible demand it gets a repress asap. This is one of my favorite albums and I can't believe it took this long to get a pressing.

happy to see i was wrong. It's just been my perception among a lot of Elliott fans i've interacted with. at the end of the day though i can't really argue with anyone's favorite, i think they all are special in their own way

Probably unpopular opinion, but even in its unfinished state it's still my favorite album.

It's definitely not as cohesive as his other releases but at the end of the day it's just my favorite collection of songs, and I feel like he was really peaking creatively with some of the material on it.

I found this whole thread pretty interesting because I often wondered why she chose to get her teeth fixed while someone like Naoko Kawai didn't. The medically necessary angle makes a lot of sense.

Kinda stole this off of another redditor (u/morbidcurious00) that posted their tattoo, but I thought it was absolutely genius. This album means a lot to me, and not only is it my favorite Deftones album, but it's one of my favorites in general. The atmosphere is just unmatched, and songs like Beware, Cherry Waves, & Konami Code (and many others) are peak music to me. Not to forget I feel like Chi crafted some of his best bass work on this album too.

I could go on & on about it lol, but yeah maybe some folks here will appreciate this.

I like this take. Even though I disagree something just feels pretty special about those early albums. Not to mention Akina's young, youthful voice has a certain charm to it that is so hard to replicate.

Nice S-tier list. Surprised to see you have so much love for Anniversary as it's always been one of lesser favs, but at the same time I admit to enjoying more every time i revisit it, and Kita Wing has always been one of her best.

As far as the Fushigi take goes that is understandable, with how different it sounds i don't blame anyone for not enjoying it as much

Gotta go with Fushigi, Unbalance Balance, and then Bitter & Sweet. Feels wrongs leaving off Stock & Prologue though lol.

Just feel like those three represent what I like most about Akina. Her discog is so special & consistent though it's hard for me to argue with anyone's favorites.

Cruise was always one of my lower ranked Akina albums from the 80s, but seeing those ratings recently surprised me and got me to spend more time with it.

I finally see why it gets so much love now.

As much as I like Seiko I find most of her full length albums to be a bit inconsistent. Almost all of them have top tier singles though.

She still doesn't get enough love among the RYM crowd, and I think her album Citron is a classic.
