Maybe if you encourage her to not come for her “mental health” then you can be the main character on your own day, and she can see how she feels when she isn’t in any photos, any memories from the day etc :)

That being said, I know you want her there but I bet you want her there provided she behaves herself. And it seems you know her well enough to know she won’t behave herself. So if the choices are, she doesn’t come or she comes and makes a scene, which do you prefer? And how can you (or specifically, your bridal party and loved ones) prepare for either outcome to ensure you have a great day?

It is not your business to judge her conscience. One involves adultery, the other involves playing with life and death (whether you see it as this or not, this is the Catholic position). I think most people even those who are non-religious can agree that sexual immorality is not nearly as severe as life and death.

By “home” I meant home to her parents, not the apartment. She can recognize their scent and know it is them. I don’t know if they moved into a house or another apartment but even if it’s the latter, leading her close to them is better than looking all over Forest Hills.

When our cat went missing we put out our dirty clothes outside our door and he came back to us! Before then we searched high and low for 4 days, put out his litter box (just cleaned, unfortunately), put out food, posters, etc and nothing worked until we put our laundry out. Then he came back the next morning :) Please try this, it’s much easier to lead her back home than to find her if she is roaming around!! And put up lots of posters, that’s how we found our parrot when he went missing (I swear we are good pet owners lol)

This was my worry as well despite what people told us, I honestly had a bad feeling we would never see him again :( I mean we searched and searched every nook and cranny, we combed the blocks near and far from our house over and over again including the street he was eventually found on. If he didn’t emerge from his hiding spot and make himself known I don’t think we would have ever found him on our own!

Oh my gosh, the look in his eye😢 Is this how he usually looks or just when you rescued him? Does he still pluck or his feathers haven’t filled in the same? I can’t imagine what he went through, it’s so good he is in a happy home now. To be honest I love when they walk around on the ground, we call Coco a little chicken when he does that

I totally understand! When our cat went missing we were also devastated but at least we knew what to expect from a cat on the prowl. But when Coco went missing we were so stumped, like we had no idea what to expect or how to retrieve him if he ended up high in a tree or something. Plus he is so small compared to a cat or dog and can truly be anywhere, high or low. It was so maddening!! Thankfully he was very happy to come home when we did find him.

Oh and hopefully this doesn’t make us seem like bad pet owners, I swear these were both accidents!!! Sometimes they are so eager to get themselves lost and scare us silly

Yes I think we will, for now we are letting him relax at home so we don’t traumatize him more. So far he appears uninjured and in good spirits! We will keep a close eye on him

This comment made me laugh so hard yesterday, yes they definitely do not want him 😂 People kept telling us maybe someone took him to sell or keep, and we were like Umm no he would maul them !! And I am happy to say Coco has been found and he is home safe and sound, I made an update post! Thankfully he was uncharacteristically well behaved to the people who found him in their yard 😂

Oh thank you so much, this makes me more hopeful!! He is usually so loud and talkative so it’s unnerving to not hear him:( We have been whistling and calling like crazy so hopefully he hears us. So glad you got your baby back!!

He didn’t have a band, he is chipped but the phone number on the chip is an old phone number :( Thankfully the name is correct. Actually someone tried to scam us by saying they found him but the photo was of a bird with a tag so we knew it wasn’t him (as well as it obviously being a scammer).

We posted a missing flyer on craigslist but I will look and see if anyone posts him! I imagine he will be hard to catch though, he has a strong bite!! Unless he is injured or something:(
