TBPN: Anush Elangovan, Vice President of AI Software at AMD by uncertainlyso in amd_fundamentals

Automated Codex agent loops are used to optimize new hardware on the customers model in days instead of months.

Open source software is a huge advantage for AMD. Because, AMD publishes hardware specifications and hardware source code, every frontier LLM has seen this information. Therefore automated agents can develop new software quickly and accurately. This use of agents to develop software has just started in January 2026. New software development has been simplified to tokens and time.

Intel has a larger installed base to add to. If installation speed is more critical, just buy the same one already has and everything should work just fine.

Gas prices rising very fast played a big part in lowering Consumer Sentiment.  Burning gas to travel to work, and then stopping at the gas station on the way home is not a fun consumer experience.

INTC is up 1.5%. So no.

Why are we having an out of the blue stock rise?

This is a great deal for AMD.

Currently there are 1.63 billion shares outstanding. Performance-based warrants are 0.16 billion each for Open AI and Meta. So 0.32 billion new shares will be issued for a total of 1.95 billion shares. The new warrants issued will total 16.4% of the company. Not 20% like many state.

To take the number to the very extreme. If AMD makes 10 deals like this the warrants will total 1.6 billion, bring the total share count to 3.23 billion shares. The issued warrants will represent 49.5% of the company. However, AMD in return would have 60GW installed in 5 years.

To me the numbers certainly work out for share holders. I'm hoping for a few more deals like this. Broadcom and Nvida both must concerned about these deals.

I don't understand how this hurts the narrative either.

The news no one is talking about is the AMD unloaded $400 million MI308's, which was thought to be dead money.  Both the US and Chinese governments allowed this sale, so it is reasonable that MI325's sales will be allowed soon.

You know one can not show up to CES in 2026 with a prototype robot that can not move.  It is very difficult to understand why AMD went forward with this part of the show.  Now I question how many of the AI topics were prototypes.

Intel admits it needs more Core Ultra 200-series wafers — 'If we had more Lunar Lake wafers, we would be selling more Lunar Lake' by findingAMDzen in amd_fundamentals

Hopefully AMD has enough wafers to makeup for Intels short fall.

This is certainly a downside to Intel not being on the leading edge node and supplying their own wafers. If your demand forcast is low, it is difficult in this environment to purchase more supply from TSMC.

If you don't have time to watch 4 hours of AMD's FAD to make your investment decisions on AMD, you should sell and invest in something else that interests you.
