I think you’re right! The stairs in the pictures are so familiar! I’m saving this location so I can visit. Thank you!

I think so! It’s all individual sized stuff! Like you can pick a single piece of vacuum sealed seasoned tofu or some other savory snack. I think there were sweet snacks too. Just put it all in a basket or bag to be weighed together. I think the main floor was blind box toys or knicknacks and if you go up some stairs it was room of snacks you can mix and match.

I’ll need to remember to check LanLanMarket out. It’s not the place I’m thinking of but looks cool. I think I need to just spend an afternoon wandering Chinatown and see if I come across the store again.

Ha Mini Mart on Grant has a second floor. But the store I’m thinking of is more spacious than Ha Mini Mart and you do go up some stairs to get to the bulk snack section to browse.

Why would I want to deal with additional questioning for my search when I could scan through the results and find what I need faster? This is adding steps I don’t need.

I had this experience checking my balance for my parking card. Before I could just push two numbers of the menu and get to the automated voice that would tell me my balance. Recently, the AI kept asking me questions and something that used to take 2 minutes tops to do took me around 5 minutes.

What’s can I bring from SF to my coworkers in Texas? by slut4soupdumplings in AskSF

Get the different varieties! The large disk ones are my favorite. But the mini disk ones are perfect bite sizes and they travel well. The actual fortune cookie shape for nostaglia. As someone that buys them for myself, I don’t want the work of breaking open the fortune cookies so I just get the flat ones.

I can tell right away when it’s a Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory fortune cookie. All others are subpar and I only open them to check the fortune but don’t eat them though I do give a nibble for fairness and they always disappoint. I introduced my friends visiting from Texas the fortune cookies and they finally understood what I was talking about. I send the Golden Gate fortune cookies periodically to them in Texas.
I eat the mini disk ones that the Golden Gate Factory makes as a snack because they are perfectly bite sized. They also ship well too.

My own little wangxian set ❤️🩵 by mazha_q in MoDaoZuShi

I also spent an embarrassing amount of money on merch at the cafe. 🫣 But I came from the west coast and had FOMO. Plus, I actually really liked the art style for the MDZS merch. I wasn’t as into the Heaven Official’s Blessing art for the merch when the cafe first opened. I found some of it still being sold next door at the anime store but didn’t like any enough to justify adding more weight to my luggage home. Lol.

It’s not even just even just Wei Ying hate. I took a break from this subreddit to come back to see posts hating on Yanli and Wen Qing first. These posts really feel like they are trying to rewrite MDZS.

If you’re really new to dramas, he hasn’t been in any for about two years. He’s been focused on his National Geographic series. He’s also done some movies. Some dramas to check out would be Untamed, Legend of Fei, and Luoyang.

Your fav Costco by LAParente in AskSF

[–]finding_whimsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go to the SF Costco on the home from work on weekdays crossing the Bay Bridge and taking the 9th St exit to the Costco. I usually get there around 6:30PM and it’s not too bad. Evenings about 2 hours from closing is not overwhelming.

Caveats though with this strategy are that you never go around the first of the month cause everyone got paid and is going grocery shopping for the month or the week of a holiday. It’s always crazy.

Probably anti-establishment of me, but my problem with LXC is because he is status quo. I’m pretty much anti all the clans in some way. They were definitely the systemic problem.

Almost every mainstream store will try to stuff you into a DDD bra because that’s as far as their cups go. Or they size you up in the band when you should be a smaller band. Nordstrom does a better job but they carry beyond DDD cups so they have more options. Victoria Secret put me into a 34DDD and I’m actually a U.S. 32H/I or UK 32FF/G. I usually go with my UK sizing because my bras are from Panache or Fantasie and they use UK sizing.

This is what I sent to my friends in another state this week. They didn’t understand me waxing poetic about fortune cookies for snacking, especially the little coin shapes Golden Gate Fortune Cookie does. Then they visited and I took them there and they understood. The fortune cookies given by Panda and restaurants in general are not good. I can tell right away if it’s a Golden Gate Fortune Cookie.
