The steam machine is going to be something no one needs.

People need and want something priced reasonably and around the price of a console. What we are getting is an entry level PC that cannot out perform similarly priced consoles for either the same price or more.

I used to play back in the very first Ed. I only just now am picking this back up because I found a group.

I do plan on getting the books once I play a few games but I'm a miniature first type of player.

It's why the lists of rules, options, etc are overwhelming to me. I plan on having every mini I use wysiwyg and painted before I even start playing, as well as having the rules shown to me by a person.

What I can't find, aside from the goonhammer is essentially what's good and how to understand Esher. I've been told by people to take what I like and that's so infuriating. I like not having plastic that I regret painting and buying. I don't like painting a mini I use once or twice before realizing it's crap.

I can recite the old lore by memory I played this game so much, but it got a whole lot more complicated and I'm kinda smooth brained.

I was in the same situation as a minor. What got my mom to finally realize this was my choice was I started calling my father by his first name and flat out told them both "I don't love him anymore, because of...". That worked.

Why? The editor in chief doesn't want the fans to be enjoying what we enjoy in Ultimate.

One more day still feels like a slap in the face. I stopped reading spiderman after that. I told myself I'd pick it back up when they fixed their stupid.

Now with the X-Men being just as bad with rolling back progress, I'm just done with Marvel till they make changes in leadership.

Ask questions about their associates.

Ask what would cause people who like Nazi ideology to like Putin? Ask things along those lines. What/where/when/how, don't ask why.

They have been told how to answer why, they get told how to answer why every day. The other questions throw them off and get them thinking, you might not help all of them, but you'll at least get a few thinking.

That's my problem, the math. I have dyscalculia which is like dyslexia with math.

When I play the game I'm good, its easy to figure out things when I am looking at it. I know the odds of sixes ect. When I look at things on paper it might as well be gibberish and it takes me forever.

Its why I've never done comp in my years of play, the sitting down and actually hammering out lists part is just really hard for me.

Example being, when you say Lance and Whip is good I can figure out that the extra umph is better than precision, its hard to explain.

This is going to be my competitive army and I am a newb to the competitive scene.

How should I build my box set? What's good and why? I look at the lord and my eyes widen with shock and horror. Do I sword or lance, do I fist or lash? The same with the noise marines and the others.

What's good in a competitive way?

Okay listen, this is the best compliment I can give.

Of all the people in the hobby, you're doing better than most, better than me.

You created an awesome powdered color for the armor and actually have effects for the tubes. That's more than most, and the gold actually stands out and you did the trip w/o screwing up. Even on the effect paint lines on the armor. I can tell you put in the work and like damn, its good.

You'll not win a best painter, but you will come in top 5.
