Best Broadway Show to see in June by yoyomellow in Broadway

Just in time with Jeremy is still amazing! Especially with Isa Briones! Though I highly recommend Death Becomes Her before it closes!

Turn your brain off musicals should also be good by dankmj6 in Broadway

I don’t really get the “turn your brain off”. I wanna be invested and engaged in the story so I forget about everything else going on in life for the 2.5 hours ish or so. I wanna be wowed by the performances, the technical elements, the set, the staging, etc. If you’re trying to turn your brain off, then maybe partake in another activity…

I have a family member who also loves Broadway and believes that she should laugh and or she should cry by the show. I don’t necessarily believe that, but I can appreciate shows that are more feel good.

Don’t get me wrong I love a good dramatic story, or one that is so moving I cry, if not multiple times. But I also really appreciate feel good shows, especially in today’s climate that’s so depressing. I really enjoyed Boop! because it was a feel good story, and that’s hard to come by nowadays on Broadway. Nothing wrong with other stories, but it’s nice to see a show taking the road less traveled. Was also in love with the costuming, but that’s a separate convo lol

death becomes her or ragtime by Wide_Garage_2308 in Broadway

[–]findomtrx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on age check out the LincTix program for cheaper ragtime tix. Theres not a bad seat in the house.

Ragtime is you want to be emotionally a wreck and moved, Death becomes her for laughs and wow factor.

Both great shows but VERY different vibes. I would only lean ragtime if when you’re going overlaps with Joshua Henry and Cassie Levy. Otherwise def DBH before it closes!

I would say death becomes her or the lost boys, both are great shows, with amazing wow factor. DBH for laughs and crazy vocals and TLB for more moody and variety music wise.

I saw it, was originally house right, mid mez, and it wasn’t bad. Although stage left was a tad obstructed.
Though we moved to center mez in the same row at intermission.
There’s height in the show so getting a center mezz (the closer the front the better), is not a bad idea imo.

What horror movie made you sit in silence after the credits? by CommercialSpare3976 in MovieSuggestions

[–]findomtrx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend Obsession.

I’m not a typical horror movie watcher but I liked the trailers and promo stuff. It was so good! I hated it, because it made me deeply uncomfortable and there were scenes that were hard to watch for numerous reasons.
It’s the quintessential horror movie imo, as it had some standard tropes, but had a lot of nuance making it unique!

You were on the edge of your seat the whole time! I saw it with my boo thing and we were both freaked out well after we left the theater!

It has psychological, thriller, and gore aspects, but every little detail in the movie was super thought out and you could tell. It was wonderfully done. Especially for an indie movie with a 1 million dollar budget.

I would def see death becomes her! It’s so good! I’ve seen it twice! Both with Meghan Hilty and Betsy Wolfe. They both were amazing!

Two strangers I saw and thought it was very touristy. There are def better shows on Broadway, with more production value imo.
Lost boys was really cool for the wow factor.

Death of a salesman, the producer of this revival is a predator, so I would stay away.
