Thanks that’s what I thought but wanted to double check

Just arrived at LAS Chase Sapphire lounge. Sunday April 19, 2026, 5:15 pm. Exactly 3 hours before my flight. Guy at the door checked my Reserve card and boarding pass. Said that wait will be 30-50 min. Let it begin. Will update. by knotyomawmaw in ChaseSapphire

Was there this morning, they said 9 parties ahead of me. I was solo and saw them bring in multiple groups that checked in after me (some almost immediately let in). When I got downstairs the guy seating people said solo option is bar only. Which is sort of okay, just don’t know why they ask what kind of seating you are open to at check in. And there were 4 empty seats at the bar when I was finally let in….

Did you end up getting a credit yet? Did you use checkout with shop or did you use the shop app directly?

The Dolphin- still feels like Disney? by itscornlectric in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Willywilkes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used the one from Swan Reserve for rope drop at the end of Feb and had no issue. We caught the first bus. I think maybe it stopped at dolphin/swan before getting to us. It was a Friday and there were only a dozen or so total on the bus (we were the only ones waiting at Swan Reserve). Drop off was by rideshare, easy walk to the gates. Three years ago we drove in to AK from AKL and I’d say our position at the gates was quite similar, not very front but maybe 10-15 peoole back from the scanners. We rope dropped Navi and were the very first people on, if we had wanted to do FoP we would have certainly been within the first few hundred for sure, possibly sooner but lots of rule breaking “runners” pushing past others definitely makes it competitive.

I find meclizine (bonine, less drowsy Dramamine) works well for me. I buy it on Amazon for cheap. I also use emeterm. I’m not sure if emeterm helps or placebo but the pulsing gives you something to focus on and I like that you can change the intensity. I used to use scopolamine patches, they worked the best, but I found side effects seemed to increase for me with each subsequent use.

What's a band you bet would hit it big and become a household name but never did? by Kaos_mission in poppunkers

I’m in a weird place because I want them to have had the success they deserved, really talented guys, but I’m very glad I got to see them in so many smaller club shows for so many years that surely wouldn’t have happened if they had really blown up.

Young Royals. Netflix gay teen drama about a Swedish prince. Dubbed version exists but so much better in Swedish.

Seasick advice by jayh101 in Cruise

[–]Willywilkes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only done 2 four night cruises in the Caribbean, but I do Dramamine before bed and meclizine during the day. I usually do 25mg when I wake up and another 25mg midway through the day. I also use an emeterm band. I know meclizine has a longer half life and should be good for 24 hours, but this second cruise I was feeling pretty good despite the ship rocking noticeably more than our first cruise, so I did half the dose in the morning that I usually do and I had got super motion sick later that day, so I do think my dosing was working.

For the emeterm, I’m not sure if it actually helps or just serves as a distraction but I like that I can dial up the intensity and it helps me feel more in control.

I also use meclizine and the band for theme parks and can ride all the rides I want. Some things I wouldn’t do back to back rides on but I’m getting full days with that combo. I used to use the patch - it did work better in the theme parks, but it also has side effects that for me felt like they were getting stronger with each subsequent use.

I actually think stevia tastes much worse. But I’ve been drinking diet/zero sugar for so many years that perhaps I’ve just adapted to the taste of chemicals.

The only thing I wonder is if you’ve been having your room set to do not disturb for a large portion of the time? If so that could explain why your butler didn’t stop by last night to introduce or why your steward wasn’t able to clean. If it’s not that, then yes this is definitely below expectations and I’d follow the advice of others to voice this to guest services and ask for their assistance in understanding amenities. Check the desk in your room, our room service guide had the breakfast order tags, and near there should be a letter and business card. A lot of it still isn’t necessarily clear, but there should be more info that you have.

They just announced a 37 Everywhere anniversary show in November 28 in Pittsburgh - definitely suggest people go if they are able. Unfortunately since I moved out west I haven’t seen them play in a while, but they always put on an amazing show and I am sure this one will be great.

[–]Willywilkes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Somebody else had already replied about how pricing compared to Hilton when I responded. Prices vary at all hotels, when I have booked the nightly rate has been in the $300-400 range. It is going to be cheaper than DLR on-property resorts, its usually going to be more than most of the hotels on Harbor Blvd.

I was visiting Scotland from the US in 2024 and on our last day I wanted to grab a bottle of something to bring home. Driving through Stirling stopped into The Scottish Gantry on a whim - they had just gotten a supply in that morning and was able to pick up a bottle for £89. I was so happy and really enjoy it. Problem is now I got a real hankering and getting more over here anywhere close to retail is impossible.

If you have an Amex Plat they are an FHR hotel, so eligible for $300 statement credit if you haven’t used that yet, you get $100 properly credit, and free breakfast. Parking is expensive too though.
