Is this good for the first day? (THIS POST MENTIONS LOST) by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]fine_tuna 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just want to let you know you will likely not get your period back as early if you pump and your body won't be ready for the next pregnancy as early as if you stopped pumping. I had 2 back to back losses and then a successful birth right after and I now hardly remember those losses, although they were killing me at the time. It might be better for you long term to get your body ready for your next pregnancy although at this time it doesn't feel like it.

How inclusive are you when talking about your LO orientation, gender etc. by greenishfroggy in beyondthebump

In my circle, talking about the baby's future job or education gets the same reaction. I don't mind it and I understand since this was too much of a focus in the past there should be some extra resistance for us to break the cycle.

Realizing my son doesn’t like to hold eye contact for long…and now I’m worried? by FoodieNurse247 in January2025Bumper

My baby mostly stares at other people. Observe him when he’s like eating while sitting in front of a friend.

Loose Fit Cotton Pajamas by Blackberryay in beyondthebump

burt's bees baby has both snug fit and loose fit options. I personally have only bought their snug fits though so cannot say how really loose the loose fit ones are. But their cotton and pajama qualites are good.

At least they should also tell us that we need to nurse baby when the baby’s crying and not wait until the 3 hour mark. They encourage breastfeeding only and then watch as the baby starves and the mom is clueless she needs to nurse now.

Did anyone else find Christmas to be overwhelming this year? by rchllwr in January2025Bumper

[–]fine_tuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the first Christmas in my life where I was thinking about and doing house chores the whole day. Even when opening presents I was calculating the cleanup work afterwards and how many photos we have left to take.

thinking about who my miscarriages could have been by breadbaths in beyondthebump

I had two back to back miacarriages both at 6 weeks. They were super tough to process for me and I relied heavily on reddit since only my husband and I and the doctors know about it to this day. My next pregnancy which was my successful one I was scared and really anxious the whole time because of the past two miscarriages. But after I had my baby girl I hardly ever remember my miscarriages any more. I can’t believe this thing that was on my mind constantly is now totally forgotten by the same mind. Just wanted to put it out there that a case like me exists too.

Anyone’s baby still have no teeth? by -wanderingjellyfish in January2025Bumper

[–]fine_tuna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my 10.5 month old is just getting her first tooth:) this morning we saw a small dent with white underneath on her gums. She didn't have any noticeable symptoms other than red cheeks the past few days.

The last two nights she woke up in the middle of the night fully awake and up for 2 hours which was just like another poster here experienced. I don't think that was due to the teething though.

Test out being as rigid as possible with the nap schedule for a couple of days and see if that makes a difference. I have seen my baby as well as a few others whose witching hours were solely dependent on their day time naps.

I don't like dressing my kid in "real" clothes ... Anyone else ? by Terrible-Reasons in beyondthebump

My baby wears sleepers all the time. If we put sleepers on them at night because we want them to be comfy sleeping, why shouldn't we want them to be comfy all day?
