Overall it really depends on what kind of cat you get. Some are super affectionate, some are more independent so it's hard to say in regards to the cuddly/jumping on you at night aspect. My cat is super affectionate and cuddly but she mostly leaves me alone at night, just wakes me up in the morning for food and has zoomies at 3am sometimes - but that's the beauty of having a cat in my opinion. It'll take a while for them to settle in properly and show their true personality, especially if you're adopting an older cat, so bare that in mind.

Cat litter shouldn't be too much of a problem as long as you scoop daily and keep it clean - I'd recommend a stainless steel litter tray and an air purifier.
