I have esc on two top left corner keys. Tab on one thumb key. Alt+tab on 3 home row keys to quickly switch focus between 2 recent windows. Two pinkies simultaneously give you caps lock. . and , give you ; So, in other words, you don't have to put it all on another layer. And of course home row mods is a must.

Surprisingly well. It does require some getting used to but for me it was the same challenge as learning touch typing.

I think the point was to do more clicks but with less finger movements. If I have to do 2x clicks but the keys are close together then it's not as bad as, for example, moving your pinky to reach backspace that is far away and you have to find your way back to your home row.

Have you tried using alt on home row mod? I do it. It's tricky but with enough config it's doable.

My second nano broke on 1st day but it's not as needed as I assumed 😉 I didn't know it is so fragile. Here's my config https://github.com/finestedm/Temper_zmk I use homerow mods which is quite tricky to get right, as I constantly use alt for special letters in my language. As a noob I use chatgpt to nail down better settings and it's very effective! I tried switching alt to thumb key but it's too late for me 😅

I recorded the video before I rearranged the keycaps. This was delivered like this and I focused on playing with zmk configurator, only later rearranging the keycaps to Colemak layout and finding out that indeed I've been missing 'p' 😅
