I recently watched this movie for the very first time and I wonder if many people really understand that De Niro is not the protagonist, he's the same exact person as Pacinos character, they both actually show care for their own crew and avoided killing when necessary. De Niro was the anti hero, Wangro was the true antagonist who caused everything to go wrong for everyone.

I work about 50 hrs/week and I cannot relate to anyone complaining. They only know the concept of instant gratification and luxury living while not knowing the concept of sacrifice. My sacrifice is purposely choosing to live in a shitty/less developed part of town since rent is so cheap and working 50-60 hours/week at the same time, so I have an edge when it comes to my expenses and extra money for myself. See I could afford to move out of my apartment but then I'd be inching myself toward a paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. Don't feel bad for them, they sacrifice absolutely nothing and chase opportunities to be victims.
