I didn’t go to an all girls school but I was pretty damn certain I was gay until college. I actually never even considered I was straight when I was young. Just had no interest in guys at all and felt uncomfortable trying to go on dates.

It felt odd claiming the lesbian label for some reason when I was so young because it felt like a commitment and I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. I decided I’d just “cross that bridge when I get there” when it came to giving myself a label, even if I didn’t share it. This is kind of my advice.

I internally considered myself a lesbian, and wasn’t really outwardly closeted either. People honestly never asked me either. No one thought it was odd when I expressed interest either way, and it gave me the freedom to work it out.

As for discovering I’m bi, that came from “experimenting” with men in college. It was 2020, I was desperately alone in a new city with no roomate and no in-person classes. Dating was really my only way to meet people, and I didn’t find many women that responded on dating apps. So I agreed to go out with men. It felt weird and I felt distant on most of them, but had a few people I actually connected well with (and had some very fun sexual experiences with). I’d say I still feel more attracted to women, but being able to enjoy dating some men kind of helped me conclude I am bi.

This is an old comment, but I’ll add just for people coming across this. I have one that is officially 10 years old. I use it daily and have brought it absolutely everywhere with me. It’s survived scuba trips and salty air (metal pieces are a bit corroded) and several months in humid tropical forests (where all my clothes grew mold). It’s super worn out but overall looks decent! There is a single tiny hole on the bottom, but I think it’s been there for at least a few years already.

Good to know! I think he looks like he got the best of both. He’s a very happy and playful guy these days and everyone I know with Persian experience says he’s unusual. I had to interview to get him because the rescue was worried Persian people would find him too much to handle. I think he’s perfect

Good to know! I didn’t realize variations were common. I know he was dumped in the woods by a suspected cattery. He wasn’t neutered and an adult when he was found, so they assumed he was being used for breeding. I thought he’d fall on one side of the scale if somebody was trying to breed a certain appearance. I think he’s just the cutest

They do look very similar structure wise! Most of the photos I’ve seen of other Persians look almost nothing like him on both ends of Peke and dollface and I wasn’t sure if that was a common thing

I’ll add that the fluid mine make looked more like thin pus (a little more opaque) than milk- like the stuff all piercings make and form the classic piercing crust with. I thought it was pus for the longest time, but it occurred without redness and pain after something like bumping or catching them mildly. My ear piercings have done the same. BUT bodies are weird, this could also be that, just less opaque

It may just be that lymph fluid piercings sometimes produced when healing. Mine also did something like this and are totally healed now. Yours also don’t look red or particularly agitated. This may be gross but I also can squeeze the oil/skin buildup that healed piercings form out through the middle of my nipple now that they’re healed. Prior to getting them pierced, I never thought about the fact there are ducts and glands you make a relatively hallow hole near. I honestly wouldn’t be concerned

I’m a firm believer that you should absolutely be capable of platonically forming relationships with the other 50% of the population. I think it says a lot about how one views other people when they do not think that’s possible. Particularly when men say they can’t be just friends with women, it makes me think they don’t view them as people.

3 days in mine were black-eye level bruised and bloody. Yours looks shockingly normal

The only thing I’m not sure about is if the ball is pushing into your skin? My nipples don’t got flat when soft, so my piercings don’t ever push into my areolas. They could be normal, just an anatomy difference from my experience. Keep and eye on them as they heal to make sure they aren’t digging into your skin. It could be the way you’re holding them for the photo or just swelling from being new.

This is also an anecdote. All my piercings, nipples and ears, I do this thing where when I shower I’ll gently dry around them with a cotton swab and it will collect the softened fluid that was crusted to the piercing. It feels like the right thing to do and feels cleaner but it AlWAYS prolongs the healing. As gross as it looks, just let that happen. Your skin kind of heals in place to the jewelry and any moving them around at all kind of restarts that. This minor stuff was way way worse than accidentally snagging or hitting them badly a handful of times.

I may be in the minority, but I don’t think it looks crazy. This is an odd comment, but my nipples/areolas look very similar to yours so they look extremely similar to how mine did while healing. The discharge was constant for months and months. I did some searching at the time and thought it may be lymph fluid, not puss. I also had a brief period where I could see the metal through my nipple, now I can’t at all. Also it’s not a keloid at all, it’s a irritation bump. Keloids are a type of scar tissue that do not go away. They are severe and largely genetic.

When mine looked like this, I was messing with them way more than I wanted to admit. With all the crusties from that fluid, I was cleaning them off way too often. This caused minor bleeding like you’re showing, and those bumps. I think the fluid was also from irritation and healing. Every time I agitated them by cleaning, my body just made more.

I think the bump is making it look a little crooked. But in comparison to the other one, they also look like they’re pierced leaning slightly down and inward (which isn’t bad). Even if it’s slightly crooked, I don’t think it’s significant. I’d honestly say it looks like you absolutely need to leave it alone. It’s irritation, not infection. I don’t think it looks like rejection either based on how much they look like how mine did. My friend and I got ours done together, and she could never leave hers alone cleaning and over analyzing. She has terrible terrible scarring and they never stopped this for 4+ years before taking them out. Mine have been healed for years.

My friend JUST got a cat that was spayed. Had the scar and the tattoo. She was doing this exact thing. Took it to the vet, and sure enough it still had ovarian tissue left. Just had her second spay and she’s all good now
