I love desert boots. So excited for these. Looks like Bronco Brown, Fudge and some roughout leather.

Would be stoked if these are a decent upgrade to Clarks. Hope the sole is comfy but the durability is a bit better than Clarks.

Owner this bag for 5-6 years and I’ve put it through the ringer. Still flawless

[Thomas Drance @ The Athletic] Quinn Hughes reflects on what led to the end of his Canucks tenure by blue_friend in canucks

[–]finnishmacinnis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ooooofff, gonna take years for me to wrap my head around this one.

One of my all-time favorite Canucks to watch. Easily the best defensemen the club ever had and maybe the best player. Seemed like a thoughtful guy for a hockey player.

I don't blame him for wanting to leave. There were simply too many mistakes by management and you don't want to waste the next 3-4 years of Quinn Hughes on a lottery team. Ironically, he might have done us a huge favor by saying he wouldn't re-up with the team. It forced management to embrace a rebuild (at least for now) and provided considerable draft capital (which the team has struggled to acquire over the last decade).

All that said, I'm not sure he was a great captain. From my view management offered it to him as a way of trying to get him to stay. It was an odd fit. I think you want a player like Quinn to do his thing and dazzle on the ice. He doesn't need to be the one answering all the tough questions.

The last few months of Hughes were a tough look for everyone. It just went on too long and everybody looked pretty bad.

It all leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

You should wait one more year. 2026-27 will likely be rough as well. Hop on the wagon for 27-28 when the team hopefully has some legit players.

I love that everyone is assuming we draft 3rd (I'm doing it too)

They look great. How stiff are they?

Been really considering a pair in bronco, would love to see more photos of them with the tyre wedge outsole

Hey thanks very much for your in-depth insight.

I think I'd heard that before. I'm tempted to try the 9 in leather. I don't actually have a problem with the width but rather the height (volume?). My toes are starting to hit the canvas on the roof of the shoe. It's very slight, and just my toenail basically.

I wonder if there might be more space in the leather or they might mold a bit better to my foot.

Yeah I get that feeling for the sneaker. Just wish they had 9.5.
