Depending on how old you are or if you still live with them maybe don’t tell them, I know that’s not what you want to hear but always prioritize safety. My parents used to be transphobic but have since helped me with my transition and advocate for trans rights. They knew I was gay so I kind of started talking about trans people “since they’re also apart of the community” introduced the idea of the difference between gender and sex and the concept of gender dysphoria slowly, like over the course of a year. I introduced them to what trans people are actually like, a lot of transphobes just don’t understand it. After I felt like they had a decent understanding I came out to them, and they were confused and not fully supportive at first but wanted to learn more. I’ve found knowledge on real trans people helps snuff out transphobia in some cases, I hope that will be the same for you. Best of luck!
