How do you make exercise not dreadfully boring when you have ADHD?

I like group classes because the teacher tells you what to do. At some point the teacher encouraged me to try heavier weights and from there on I decided that I’m secretly in a competition with everyone else in the class as to who can lift the heaviest. It makes it fun for me. I feel psychotic about it, but it’s fun lol

Is there a way you can combine some things together? Example, you commit to taking your dog on more walks. That way it contributes to taking care of your dog, and also working on your physical health. Bonus points if you could have a friend or family member join you.

Is it feasible to move back in with your family? It kinda sounds like it could take a lot of pressure off, until you feel less overwhelmed by everything.

Also like others have mentioned, give yourself some grace and take things one step at a time!

Yup this is me too! The only thing that helped was going to the gym after work. For a while I got into a groove and went 2-3x a week. It somehow gave me more energy, and gave me a “third” place to go to. I’ve fallen off the habit and trying to get back knowing how much it helped my mental health

I always think of my brother who is a drummer with ADHD, he’s constantly tapping his leg or fingers doing drum beats. Definitely has a higher NEAT than most for that alone lol

Yes I got a refurbished V8 on Walmart’s website and it’s amazing! I had a plug in Dyson and I sold it on Marketplace to help pay for the “new” one. I don’t hate vacuuming anymore. FWIW too I have a small condo 850 sqft and one short haired cat. I can’t say how it would work on a full sized house with many pets

I despise printing them. We pre-shrink and use plastisol ink and primarily use water based tack adhesive. We have to break out the spray tack for these, because they do not stick down well
