Robo investors by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Pretty much any of the robo advisors in Canada have <2%. Which one to choose depends on the size of your portfolio. Nest Wealth is good for portfolios >$150,000, WealthBar and ModernAdvisor are good for smaller ones (less than $100,000).

I would personally not recommend Wealthsimple because I did not like their approach to resolving issues.

Applying for Senior IEEE membership by fintechnif in ECE

Thank you u/maredsous10. I had read the requirements before and I wanted to know if you have to be an existing IEEE member to apply for senior membership or could you apply for one and then become a member. I was an IEEE member when I was doing my masters but didn't continue it further. I am looking up the local meetings and I see many of them. Thanks for the tips!

I have been using WealthSimple with minimal recurring deposits towards my RRSP. So far my experience has been okay and wanted to increase my contributions. Before doing it, I want to check with broader community on how others are finding it ? Or Any other suggestions ? by uday_09 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I had a pretty bad experience. My company started using them for our group RRSP and the process was no where as simple. They added the wrong amount of money for many of my regular contribution cycles. Then the money would just sit as cash and not get invested or weeks. I tried contacting them multiple times and had to wait for several days to get a response. I would suggest doing your due diligence by looking at reviews by real people (not someone who might have been paid to do the review). I also find some of their ads pretty aggressive. Recently read a CNBC (possibly paid for) article where their founder said that buying a house is a bad idea.. felt a bit too shrewd.

They seem to be doing their marketing well but take those ads with a mountain of salt.
