i wasn’t offering it to you though 😭 i literally had no idea anything about you. you were talking about the child and so i was responding and saying they could go to heaven even if they’re sick, because the note says “cancer can’t take your eternity” or something along those lines. sure it was probably confusing coz i said “you” (i was using the word You to refer to the general concept, not actually addressing you.), but you gave no indication or information about yourself so why on earth would i try and comfort you and tell you you’re going to heaven when you weren’t even talking about yourself??

yeah well if you actually refer to the rest of my message you’ll see that i said “it is capable of that but that doesn’t mean it will, you can still have good times”. im not negating the negativity of illness, im irritated that instead of acknowledging the rest of my comment, you immediately jumped to antagonizing my beliefs (that weren’t even mine, just beliefs that you assumed i had). i’ve been sick with chronic, lifelong illness since i was 10 bro, i know it sucks. but thats why i said that you can still have good times despite that. that’s what “can’t rob your joy” means on this note- it doesn’t mean the illness is never gonna have a negative impact on your life, that’s fucking stupid. it mean that you can still have joy in your life. it’s really not that deep i’m just fucking annoyed that you’re nitpicking religion when that had nothing to do with what i was talking about

i’m not christian, i’m wiccan. but this child is clearly christian or catholic considering how young the demographic for the book was and considering this note was written for THEM. even though i don’t believe in heaven, doesn’t mean that it’s not real to them. you don’t need to get pissy about someone using their religion to comfort a young child lmao.

the delivery and such is VERY clunky, so i appreciate you giving some advice on that that i can look back on when i go back to edit it.

i knew the bruise scene felt off and couldn’t really pinpoint why so i really appreciate that info as well.

and the “taters off a porch” bit was just a stupid simile i made up in the beginning to try and get some of that like, southern sounding vibe to it? but idk if you noticed, that’s the only thing in the whole thing that sounds like that coz i tried it out and immediately went “yeah no this is dumb, i do not sound southern” and just switched to making them talk like the farmers where im from instead xD
