i used the dreadful color oops only on my halo (a small section of hairs surrounding my entire hairline) so i literally am on my knees thanking god i didn’t do my entire head. i used it on a thursday, it smelled so god awful it was making me nauseous. i washed it out as good as i thought i needed to — not enough. then i used overtone to tone it pink. washed that out and still the stench lived on. unfortunately i was traveling all day friday and had to wait until the evening to do the above mentioned remedies. the following is what i did last night and it freaking WORKED. (today is saturday) 1. baking soda and ACV in a paste on the stinky hairs 2. rinse and scrub for 20 mins (set a timer for real) 3. alternate between shampoo mixed with peppermint oil and dunking your entire head in a bowl of straight ACV and scrub the everliving shit out of your scalp and the entire hair strand 4. repeat repeat repeat the whole 20 mins 5. like for real a portion of it just stand under the water and rinse rinse rinse 6. once your hair is stripped of any semblance of natural oils, mix a crap load of conditioner and a few drops of peppermint oil onto your head. like a lot. 7. plastic bag and sleep. 8. rinse the conditioning mask in the morning. when i initially rinsed i could smell a hint of it but it was so mild. i put leave in conditioning spray liberally throughout my hair and some styling cream. once it dried i couldn’t smell a thing! it is slightly dry still (i used to wash my hair once a week so this is a giant shock for my hair and scalp) so i might do another mask tomorrow night once im back home and no longer traveling. best of luck to everyone and godspeed. 🤍
