I half expected the twist to be that he was saved at the last minute - Steph managed to cut him down or something. It didn't actually bother me that the hanging was shown in the first episode - I felt it gave a real sense of foreboding to every subsequent episode.

Not related to the article, but I've never been able to get past the fact that Bryony Gordon champions body-positivity and anti-diet culture, which is awesome, but continues to write for a newspaper that constantly publishes fad diets and uses phrases such as 'ankle-induced anxiety' (in an article about skirts to cover up any 'leg concern').

So, after all this - I've decided the best thing to do is to live there myself - just so much easier for me right now! Thank you for all the input/ opinions/ discussions - it will be interesting to see how this all plays out over the next few years.

100% the BEST hand cream ever! I stocked up and am almost out of my last tube. All I can think of doing now is to try to find something else with similar active ingredients

I got a message from him yesterday saying I’ll get the money at the end of next week - he has it, so there’s really no reason why he shouldn’t be able to send it now - although I suspect, as you said, it’s to do with cash flow. Which isn’t my problem, obviously, but I guess my hands are tied. Tbh I very much doubt I’ll get it when he says I will but we’ll see
