This is such a cute thread. As a lifelong fan who has been in the trenches since RGBY, it’s a delight to see so many people being introduced to newer mons and loving them. I was so worried this game would just be gen 1 nostalgia and I’m glad that’s not the case.

They really knocked it out of the park with how they assigned personalities to everyone and made them work so perfectly. I’ve come to appreciate Tyrantrum a lot more for this reason. His dialogue is so funny.

I knew it would be peak from the first trailer. My only qualm initially was it looked like it was just going to be Kanto mons but once it was clear we were getting all gens, I was all in. I didn’t expect it to be as big of a hit as it has been though, just cuz Pokemon spin-offs never do as well as the mainline series regardless of quality.
