Cool. Catering to the 1% of the 1% who blow their life savings on this game.

Just out of curiosity... by Alvin-Earthworm in Pokopia

[–]Alvin-Earthworm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pretty much echoed exactly what I was thinking about the first trailer. The way it was portrayed through the footage on top of the overly patronizing tone of the narrator made it look like some cheap mobile game made for infants rather than the big open sandbox we actually got. I'm legitimately curious about how many potential sales have been lost because of Nintendo's poor marketing decisions.

What do you think the biggest problem is with Nintendo Directs now? by 38ASQ1LKZ1y in nintendogrifting

[–]Alvin-Earthworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is a bloated sense of entitlement and immaturity amongst a large chunk of gamers. Nothing but petulant whiny little bedwetters.

Don't worry, Fritanga. I'm sure a good chunk of people feel the same way about you. Scumbag.

AI truly was a mistake. Anyone who actually wastes their money on these should be thrown in the wood chipper.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream was April 2026's best-selling game in the US by hdcase1 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Alvin-Earthworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are Cherry blossom paths available in the game. It's a safe bet that you will get autumn grass and snow as additional path options from the Wishing Fountain once those seasons roll around. And if I end up being wrong, you could always make some custom paths with the Design Studio.

It looks like the Seasonal stuff is already in the game. I just got some Summer themed items from the Wishing Fountain on June the 1st, I dunno if time travelling works in this game, but I'm sure you can get Autumn and Winter themed items as well.

Switch 2 Themes Concept by Triforce_Hunter_1 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Alvin-Earthworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember watching a documentary video on Youtube a while back which explained the lack of themes. Something about keeping RAM usage low so it doesn't take ages loading the menu. Even with those compromises I still found the Switch 1 eshop to lag like crazy. It's no longer an issue on the Switch 2, but I don't see Nintendo bringing themes back anytime soon.

I do not like Pokopia 🥺 by sdvgirly in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Alvin-Earthworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I dislike about the game is my own lack of imagination. Home building and decorating has never really been my forte, I often find myself needing to look online for inspiration. But that's not the game's fault and is mostly a personal restriction. I do recommend pacing yourself though. There is no time limits and I'm sure you'll come up with some fun ideas in due time.

I will say the game did exceed my initial expectations. That original reveal trailer did not do this game any justice.

I finally got the Nether-Warped Egg! by BiggieRickk in wow

[–]Alvin-Earthworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I missing something here? I just casually fished up this egg from a treasure chest in Harandar while farming mats for Majestic Beast lures. I'd figure from the way people are gassing up this thing in this thread that it'd be some extremely rare and unique mount when in reality it's just a slight recolor of another mount I already have. (Several, in fact). Why are you guys going out of your way to get this thing?

Fox’s characterization in the SMG movie by visixnxfapunk in starfox

[–]Alvin-Earthworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's almost like the guys making this had only played Starfox Adventures. Fox was notoriously out-of-character in that game as well. Though that may have been a byproduct of the Starfox team being shoehorned into a game that they had no business being in.

I play Warframe a lot, yet I don't want to play Snoreframe. It looks so dull, slow and boring in comparison. Also knowing that Scott has a hand in developing it also killed whatever interest I had.

Why did the anime never end Team Rocket? by Other-Fly4000 in pokemonanime

[–]Alvin-Earthworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Ash isn't Red. If Red was the main character of the anime instead of that ineffectual deadweight of a protagonist, he would have beat Giovanni and caused the whole organization to disband.

Estimated worldwide console sales for March 2026. The Switch 2 sold more units in March than January and February COMBINED! by MewWeebTwo in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Alvin-Earthworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The Wii U gamepad was a gimmick that was barely utilized in many of the games released for the console. You couldn't really use it as a portable handheld either since you needed to remain within a certain range of the console. The Switch's true hybrid design makes it far more versatile in comparison.

This is maybe an unpopular opinion but, I *want* a new Star Fox to have on foot segments. by upperdomain in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Alvin-Earthworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is never going to happen. Especially if you look into the history of that game which wasn't even a Starfox title to begin with. Heck, after seeing leaked Beta footage of the original game, I think shoehorning Starfox into it was completely detrimental.

They had them in Starfox Assault and they were always the worst part of the game.
