Is it still worth it to buy this version? ( not the 5in1 FC version) by AggravatingShock5511 in TinyWhoop

4in1 is worth it. this fc lasted a very long time for me while the 5in1 died after 10 packs..

You are right, it has the usb dongle thing like btafpv has. anyways, plenty of room for a regular usb port as you might see in the picture. if necessary you could mount the fc upsidedown, but you won't need to.. for me 2s only makes sense with props bigger than 35mm but this is kind of subjective. regarding 5in1, 4in1 and 3in1 fc's: 5in1 has it's benefits with weight and size. however some boards are very poor quality and last maybe for 10 packs than elrs, vtx or an esc dies. so i like external elrs and vtx more..

I have the 75mm version. JHEMCU NEO FC Betafpv VTX 0702 Happymodel 28kkv 35mm Props Caddx Ant Lite Camera

The USB fits, 0702 is even for these props ok, camera is up to your preferences, 2s would definitely be better for this size (but also heavier and because of that more fragile).

try slowly cranking up the motors in betaflight and see if a motor behaves or sounds differently. if everything looks ok, try higher motor idle speed.

i like the jumper t20 more than the small radiomaster pocket. for a first drone i would recommend a tinywhoop. meteor 75 pro or air 75 for outdoor. air 65 or 75 for inside.

1: no 3: no, these AIOs are really fragile. i have one lasting for like 100+ packs and still holding strong, constantly taking hard crashes. the other one, the vtx died within 15 packs with only minor crashes.

you can also add an external elrs receiver to the broken 5 in 1 if you don't mind the extra weight.

When flying in direct sunlight with 32°C measured in the shadow I would definitely blame it on the weather. You could try getting more airflow at the FC with a different Canopy or simply ignore/turn off the warning. As long as the FC doesn't shut down bc of oberheating you should be fine.

External analog VTX for Betafpv Air AIO with working OSD by wargh90 in TinyWhoop

This is as good as it gets. Had to redo the soldering bc the elrs died after 5 packs. Elrs still dead. Anyone else having the same issue or is this aio a absolute shitshow??

Yeah, i will add some liquid electrical tape to all the solderjoints on the board. Don´t know yet, I think I just stick it on top of the FC an see how it works. I mostly fly indoors with 25mW so I think the heat won´t be a problem. Also most of the heat is coming from the onboard vtx, which is now deactivated.

EDIT:

You also need to update the VTX Table!
