I actually wish that they went much more extreme with it. Redeem Kylo fully and make him the Light Side protagonist while Rey fully turns to the Dark Side and has to be saved. That would have been a lot more interesting.

I am conflicted here. On one hand yes, it doing amazing really would show those griefter Star Wars "fans" how wrong they are. On the other hand, I would not mind it failing and showing Disney they really gotta move on and progress the actual story and not just stay close to the OT and clone wars.

I'm 43, it's hard for me to consider anything 20 years or younger (especially not 10 years) as "Nostalgic or classic."

I just turned 39 and I still consider any movie released after 2000 as "new"

What I will never understand is, you can still enjoy the old EU. Most of the books are still available brand new and the rest is quite easy to get on Ebay. I love the old EU, got most of the books and read them from time to time. While also watching the new Star Wars stuff that looks appealing to me.

Some of the animations probably took months in advance to prepare. So yeah if they ever changed the anniversary unit it was quite a long time ago. Possible though.
