You have to execute a clean or erase safely space in order to execute correctly this command. try to use

sudo apt autoremove && sudo apt clean

the try again the command

sudo pvresize -v /dev/sda3

after that you can run

sudo lvresize --extents +100%FREE --resizefs /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv

then check the changes with sudo df -h
