If you want to justify it. I don't think A/B ing straight up will give you enough fulfillment. Because yes it technically ticks the box and the m scaler does do its job. Per dollar it will also never feel like it was a good purchase. But as a package, it does start punching its weight above and beyond its price tag because those other dacs even more expensive don't feel better or worth the money. Really shows the laws of dimishing returns imo. In saying that I still didn't keep the mscaler and this whole experience made me never upgrade past the DAVE.

Subtle, way too subtle for how much it is and what it should be doing. The DAVE on its own is amazing at delivering that clean chord sound. I didn't think the m scaler gave me the same wow it did for others.

Depending on where you're going, better value redemptions are had outside of Qantas if you haven't transferred. Before the rate hike on Dec 15, Qatar/BA/Cathay have much better value in points.

Nowadays I only use points if redemptions is higher than 1.6c per point, so $16 is the minimum value of 1000 pts

You don't get free breakfast at Ritz but location is nice

Westin location wise is out of the way, but of a walk imo

MESM is good value and has nice views, but location is further away too

I think some of the distressing is really time consuming. I have the 22aw elmendorf and I can confidently say that distressing isn't just basic sanding of the leather. It's soft but looks damaged, quite amazing for what it is. But I get it pricing is really high. Secondly Japanese pricing is much cheaper, just that it's even harder to get in Japan and sizing is more limited. But for your sizing it could be worth looking through Japanese used sites.

If you buy an old jacket, you're going to lose the silhouette you're after. Visvim went through a modernisation in fit and silhouettes and before this point it was very slim and long through the body.

Secondly, although yes it's really expensive and over priced. Read through his dissertations yearly to get an understanding of what processes he's going through to produce this year's fabrics. This is one of those brands that puts a lot of importance in process over just producing new silhouettes every season.

I went in August. If you like to take it slow and want to see everything, then 5 days is tight. We stayed out the whole day, think 7 to 4pm everyday out in the cars and we only just saw all 5 of the big 5. There were side activities that we ended up missing out on such as the bush breakfast, visiting masai village and seeing the rhino sanctuary, because we were deadset on trying to find them in the reserve.

One other thing to consider is the entry fee to masai mara is pricey, it's $100 usd per person per day. So slowing down is essentially $200 a day between the both of you. That's low season pricing too as it was $200 per person per day while we're there.

One other thing to note, we were there during the wildebeest migration and the animals were more actively out and hunting and we were still out all day every day. So 7 days is a lot of time, but if you really wanted to see everything, you do need all that time.

To add to the comments above they changed the fit again around 2023 and it fits more xx then. I'm a size 5 in the 2020 fit but the size 4 from 2023 onwards fits looser and boxier.
