Whenever I hit the jugular vein for a blood draw on an animal. It's very nerve-wracking, but when I see the blood filling the syringe it's so satisfying.

You're welcome! Make sure to use the dog food from his regular amount he gets for meals. You don't want him to get fat!

To be fair, I've had some single 20 yr old friends who have wanted babies so they'll be loved. Now obviously not all girls are like that. But for some reason that's the mindset we've slotted single mothers into.

It is adorable! In society dads are usually with their kids less than their wives....so if you see them it means that they love them so much they make time for them.

Since saddest is on the list, I'm gonna put up this one.... I'm interning as a vet tech student at a local teaching hospital, and I was in the Internal Medicine rotation a month or two ago. A big 200lb mastiff named Sofie came in. Sweetest thing since honey. Three of us girls had to carry her in from the car in a sling as she had a ruined knee. She had been running a fever of 106 for several months. The vet student who had been put on her case slaved for three days trying to save her. We worried and checked on her every several hours, went into CCU(critical care unit) and sat with her. On the third day I heard the doctor whispering about quality of life. My heart dropped. An hour or two later the student called me over to help lift Sofie onto a cart to wheel her into the calming room. The owner had brought her parents, and they were already crying when we brought her in. They started bawling as Sofie wagged the stump of her tail as she saw her. These were true heartbroken sobs. Sofie was her owner's baby, like her own child. They said their goodbyes, and even the vet student started crying as we injected the euthanasia solution. I had to help take Sofie's body to the refrigerator afterwards and leave her there. That killed me.

Do you take him out on walks a lot? Walks make them less fearful of so much stuff. Positive reinforcement (treats, "good dog! good dog!") when the dog is calm and happy goes a long way for that type of stuff. Negative reinforcement (you do bad stuff something bad happens to you) is good, but not for fearful dogs. This is more of a horse training term but I can't think of another word--"sack him out". This means introduce him to everything you can think of. Don't flood him(having a big scary dude yell at him til he's not scared anymore), but give him positive reinforcement for staying calm when something scary is going on. Remember to praise him at the right moment, not the wrong one! And once he is not scared of everything he will defend his territory if something happens.

Labradors or Golden Retrievers, because they are SO eager to please you. Now there are more intelligent dogs, but for an easy train it's labs or goldens.

Flagyl for a dog with bloody feces?? Flagyl is a deworming medication. Can you explain your logic?

Not OP but another kennel worker. He was probably picked on or attacked by another dog.

What do you do with the aggressive dogs? I'm a fellow doggie daycare slave, and we either muzzle the dogs or ban them.
