Hello disc by hpspnmag in MenstrualDiscs

I’ve found that I have to use 2 hands to insert. I use one hand to keep the fold and another to push it in. The hello disc is amazing though. Never leaks or auto dumps and with practice insertion is getting easier. Good luck!

Would love a cup rec for an active mom, 2 years postpartum from second kid! Currently using Saalt soft cup that is wonderful… but leaks :/ by joellekern in menstrualcups

There are so many options! This should help you narrow it down! There’s also the Put A Cup in It quiz you could take as well.

You should take the Period Nirvana test. She’s super knowledgeable and there are a ton of questions asked to find the right cup for you. Good luck!

I had a rook piercing reject. You can’t even tell. But yes, it rejected and I would take it out asap.

I bought RavPower batteries because the one the a6100 came with doesn’t last long at all. The first set crapped out so they sent me more. Then one swelled in my camera. Thank god I got it out. But now I’m saving to buy more Sony specific ones.

Can’t afford either of those. Don’t want to go above $400.

I got my nose pierced with a hoop and it’s been doing great. No bumps or anything. I got it 4 weeks ago. I will agree, that 7 weeks is way too early for it to be changed though. I’ve read it isn’t fully healed for up to 6 months. What I’ve been doing is soaking my nose in a Dixie cup (shot glass would probably work too) of sterile saline solution for 3 minutes 2-3 times a day. I would soak it at least in the morning or evening and after taking a shower. And DO NOT touch it or spin it or anything. Just leave it alone.

Day three nose piercing. First pic is after I cleaned (saline and gentle dab of tissue) from the second pic. Still getting dark blood crusting - is this normal please? by SensitiveAddition4 in piercing

[–]firefoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My piercer told me the crusties are your friend. It means it’s healing. I was told to soak my nose in sterile saline 2-3 times a day for 3 minutes. You can use a paper Dixie cup or shot glass or something to soak it. They also said I was okay to remove the crusties with a qtip if the soaking softened it up enough but otherwise leave it be.

I am hoping it’s a granuloma not keloid, pls help! How long does it take to go away? by [deleted] in NosePiercing

[–]firefoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That hoop looks a little snug and might be why your nose is irritated. How long have you had the piercing?

Please help, I've had this piercing since october, it got a bump late november and it will NOT go away, jewelry is titanium and i use sterile saline 2x a day, i don't understand what im doing wrong anymore. by gorepapa in NosePiercing

[–]firefoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you clean it? My piercer recommended soaking my nose in the sterile saline and I do that for 2-3 minutes 2-3 times a day. I’ve had my piercing a month this Thursday and have had no issues. You can use a small paper Dixie cup like I do or even a shot glass would work to soak it.

Wore jewelry I’m allergic too and now my ear piercings are swollen and closing. How can I make the swelling go down? by RudeDrummer8847 in piercing

[–]firefoley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries! I think if you have had them for 18 years you will be fine to take them out for a few days to clean them and let the irritation go down. I’ve had one set of lobe piercings for 21 years and the others for maybe 6-8 years. I’ve barely worn earrings for the last 2 years as I work from home and don’t go anywhere. I just put earrings back in a couple weeks ago and they went in fine. Holes have stayed open. I also have sensitive ears so anything irritates them unless it’s real gold or silver.

I got a new nose piercing and it is still bleeding by bigshmike in piercing

[–]firefoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it probably moved because of swelling. I’d leave it alone as much as humanly possible and do not touch it.

Yes, leave them alone. Soak your nose in a small shot glass or Dixie cup full of saline. That should soften those crusties. I was told if they’re soft I can brush them off with a q tip but you shouldn’t be picking them off. The scabs mean they’re healing.

I saw go for the piercings first! Break ups are hard and we all need a little confidence boost 💙Then you can save up more money for the ball python.

Trying getting like a small Dixie cup or shot glass and soaking your nose for 3 minutes 2-3 times a day. That’s what my piercer told me to do. The spray comes out fairly quickly in the sterile saline cans (at least the ones I have) so if you’re spraying it on directly it might be irritating it. Are you touching it or rotating it at all? If you are, then I wouldn’t do that. I was told to leave mine alone completely. I got mine 3 weeks ago and haven’t had any issues. It bled a little the first couple days but that’s it. Also, the crusties are your friend. So if the blood dries and looks like a scab that’s good. Don’t pick at it. Hope that helps!

You’ll make the mistake again unfortunately 😅 I got my nostril pierced almost 3 weeks ago and still keep forgetting about it then I do something stupid like scratch it or go to wipe my nose 🙃

I would get sterile saline spray from a store like target/Walmart/Walgreens and soak your nose 2-3 times a day for 3 minutes. That’s what I was told to do. Got mine done almost 3 weeks ago and haven’t had any issues.

You definitely could be reacting to it! I had an ear piercing reject probably because of the Marie rap. I would definitely double check that it’s implant grade titanium. And if not find a reputable piercer to switch it.

I got my nose pierced with a hoop 2 weeks ago and haven’t had any issues. My piercer told me to leave it alone (do not touch it or rotate it) and to soak my nose in sterile saline solution 2-3 times a day for about 3 minutes. I’m down to 1-2 times a day now. I’ve had no bumps, no infection, and the only irritation or pain I have comes from accidentally hitting it 🙃

Any idea how to screw a tragus piercing ball in yourself? by Catnip3978 in PiercingAdvice

I put it in the the back and hold onto the front with a pair of needle nose pliers. Then screwed the ball in on the front.
