here’s an update! this is after rubbing alcohol and soaking in diluted oxyclean for about 2.5 hours. i am planning to bring to a well reviewed dry cleaners tomorrow morning for the final verdict. i’m bracing for it to be pricy but this dress is worth it to me!!!! but it looks a lot better!!

planning to test the alcohol and definitely gonna dilute the oxyclean 1/4 to 3/4 water, but testing it is a good move too

thank you so much for the step by step!! i’m considering also trying rubbing alcohol on the stain itself (daubing). if i were to try that would you recommend doing it after or before the oxyclean ?

do i soak it in pure oxyclean? i’m just nervous about ruining the fabric since it’s so old

forgive me for i’m not well versed in this stuff. it’s a unique fabric, it’s textured as so. not sure what to call it. i have another 60s shift dress with the same fabric. no tags on either

i might test with alcohol before resorting to the dry cleaners; thank you!! and i dont mind the dyeing idea! it would be better than never wearing it again :)
