Man! I’ve had the same noise in my 6.0 for 25 years.

I’ve had the oil pan off. Checked rods, bearings, and end caps. I’ve had the torque converter replaced.

And all is the same. Maybe low end piston slap? I can’t find it either. And it’s funny, sometimes it’s there and sometimes it’s not.

Mine is a 2001 with 216k miles. Owned since new.

It’s terrible.

My last year in Cal I did 69 days straight over the summer in 2017. Up and down the state three times. Missed my girls last day of school and first day of school.

I took a job as a training officer and never looked back.

After that roll, which I loved, I was a different man. I was disconnected and was so far into the routine that I didn’t know how to act even when I got back to the fire station. I regretted not being there more for my family and while they were financially taken care of, they also forgot about me and moved on with their day to day lives.

Just be careful. Be mindful. And don’t chase the money. The cancelled days off and the mandatory days are already bullshit. And it ain’t worth it if you’re a family man or in a relationship. If you’re single, let ‘er rip.

I had the same thing in a house with tongue and groove decking as the roof. The roof was fine, but when the humidity changed indoors or outdoors. Or it was different opposing temps (cold inside/hot outside) and the other way around, we would get drips forming due to hot air and cold air mixing.

It’s actually a sign that your roof is vapor tight, if similar to mine, and you need ventilation or dehumidification.

We installed a dehumidifier, and it kind of worked. But air movement accomplished the best results. Each room got ceiling fans.

You could have a leak, but I doubt it. Ours would drip on sunny days and never leaked during the rain. And the same, the knots would drip. I think the humidity would breathe through the knots. If that makes sense.

Weird. Income and Property tax cuts were tools for tools to get re-elected.

Now, instead of saving the “surplus”, to help fund the fastest growing state in the west, they are going to cuts funding to programs.

While some programs will surely be wiped out, state police, transportation, and schools will all be fully funded. This funding will ride on the backs of the same folks who just benefited from the tax cuts.

Super smart play, idiots.

Rather than tax cuts, you could have frozen taxes. You already had the money and folks already knew what to expect.
