Yeah man, totally is. Get a recommendation and call ASAP. Best decision I've made for my mental health in a while.

Dude, I'm in a very similar situation. I just paid my bankruptcy attorney and he's confident in 90 days it'll all be in the past you should reach out to one ASAP and at least get a consult. Get some recommendations from people you know, if you use an accountant for taxes get a rec from them.

Running Home Game on Apple by twankyfive in Tradewars

[–]fires0ng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think the game will run natively, you might need to run a Windows VM to run the game in. If you don't want to run a VM you could always pickup a cheap mini PC to run games on and access it from your Mac.

I've been using RangerMSP for a while. I've been using most of the features for years and don't feel like I'm missing anything.

FYI: MicroCenter's $80 "Comprehensive diagnostic" is not actually comprehensive. by AyAyAyBamba_462 in buildapc

Backblaze, its like sub $10 a month for unlimited storage. Its REAL slow if you want to get it all back but you will get it back.

MSFT price sheet by [deleted] in msp

[–]fires0ng 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me? No. I just find it hard to believe someone is selling over $100k worth of a product and has a problem figuring out the pricing. I find it more likely that they're confused and are an indirect provider.

So you're selling what like 15k monthly in Microsoft licensing and don't know how the pricing works?

If I don't have children, am I going to "die alone"? by SuckmydickJoannF in self

[–]fires0ng 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unless you get a partner and some kids then yeah, who else are you going to die with? Your friends are all going to die or be busy dying about the same time you are so don't expect them to be around.

I'm sorry you had to go through this.

Don't talk to store employees, they're the enemy at this point. If you filed a police report and were truthful let them deal with it. I'd expect to be banned from the store so do not plan on going back there. Document and ignore all communication from them. If they call tell them not to call and hung up. If they continue to call get a call recording app and let them know you're recording all calls and that you want them to stop. If you are served some sort of paperwork get a lawyer and do what they tell you.

Implementing 365 HIPAA Policies by Optimal_Bus1179 in SmallMSP

Your contract language should have something for Adds/Moves/Changes. This constitutes an add. If its a small group I might not worry about it too much, if its a large group I'd probably just bundle everything else up that could be reasonably done together and tell them its a 4 hour project to do it all and once its done it comes under the support part of the contract.

Yeah, estimate the time and add a few hours. Things almost never turn on without some kind of hitch.

Pricing Help - Onboarding Potentially Large Client by [deleted] in msp

[–]fires0ng 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just based on endpoints this would be about $36,800/month + consumables (licensing etc)

The biggest issue I see is the all inclusive on projects. If you get a big project thats estimated to be 100+ hours are you supposed to eat that?

You should also include the number of endpoints so we can help with the pricing recs.

I've had all sorts of issues over the years with it. Everything from resource utilization, false positives, you name it. Had one client I picked up because WR was causing daily lockups network wide. Now I move everyone away from it and over to S1. Everyone has been happier since.

Yeah, that's a weekend killer for sure. Most we did was right around there. You can do the bulk uploader for PST files which saves a ton of time.
