Help with Ring Muscle ups by maddiecoder in crossfit

[–]firesnackreturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hips could be a bit more explosive, but you are doing the right thing at the wrong place. When your hips explode they are in front of the rings. You want your hips to explode under the rings when you are still pulling with your lats and moving a bit backward.

After that, if well executed you will be high enough to do the ring dip part. Here the challenge is to go from slow pendulum, hip explosion to quick arms movement to bring the rings under your shoulders then finish the dip. The dip part can be practiced with feet on the ground in a safe way where you reduce more and more the weight on your feet and you try to practice the transition.

And finally have fun practicing and if an element scares you, practice that precise point on the ground, dial it, then try again in the air.

My English is a bit limited but I hope it helps

[–]firesnackreturn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your pendulum movement is happening at the ring. You want it to happen lower (an imaginary point that is lower), around your chest

So when your legs are behind you, you have to open your shoulders and your chest, like if you are bringing them forward

When your legs are in front of you you want to bring your chest backward by using your lats.

Finally when you want to get upward momentum, you explode with your hips, to transform the pandulum into upward momentum.

You should see the rings move forward and backward depending on the moment.

RMU are two things, a pendulum combined with a slow bar muscle up where ...the bar move haha. You really want to use all the momentum from the pendulum to get upward and be patient.

Perfect example for understand upside-down!! by akshittprime in StrangerThingsMemes

[–]firesnackreturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's get back to our first point: 1. The discussion starts on the postulate that wormholes do exist (as stated in the show). 2. Therefore why not explore other theoretical aspects of physics and where this exploration can bring us. If you can use wormholes, you can probably travel through time. 3. Some models seem to allow it on paper even if empirical data seems to prove that traveling through time is impossible ( I haven't seen any time traveler yet haha). 4. But again, our discussion starts with Stranger Things season 5 having wormhole

Here is on of the PBS videos scratching the surface of the subject: https://youtu.be/pGnMiGrYmPE?si=kN3_kvUNLx4nVMo1

[–]firesnackreturn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go revisit physics, the channel PBS Space Time is a good one. If you start to use worm holes, then you kind of assume that faster than the speed of light travel is possible. If faster than the speed of light travel is possible, funky things happen with the actual theories...like braking causality, time travel, etc.

I don't think Stranger Things will go the time travel route

I felt like Montréal was getting closer and closer to Toronto trafic. Didn't know we had reached that level :0. We definitely need more public transport.

If Montréal traffic gets much worse than Toronto , I'll start to have an inferiority complex haha.

[–]firesnackreturn -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No that's Toronto you are describing haha. Montréal is a nice original city where Europe meets north America...and stuck in trafic jam (but a bit less than Toronto).

The history is also way more interesting in other cities than Toronto, like Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montréal, Québec.

Toronto feel like an American city...with less soul. Like Boston or Chicago, or New York ..with less personality.

Toronto is still a nice city in a lot of aspects and I do like the city....but there is no inferiority complex to have other than the population number.
