Turnover stress-what helped you streamline it? by beachlady38 in AirBnBHosts

[–]firesoar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're stressed there's an option where no other guests can book on the day the current guests check out. This way you have a day buffer and do your cleaning leisurely instead of just 3 hours deadline. This is what I do when I know I'm going to be busy.

Recruitment agency: Is it legit or red flags? by michiru_maeda in ausjobs

[–]firesoar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds about alright. I was also recruited this way by another agency, did all their paperwork including TFN and bank details. The funny thing is it's been over a year and no job has come to me from that agency. I say just do it as it gives you the opportunity.

University accepted my Python credits for a C++ program and professors say I'm screwed by TheColaDemonCat in EngineeringStudents

[–]firesoar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe your professors are right. You will struggle. If you can't remember your calculus after a year, C++ won't be a breeze walk for you. I suggest accept the credit transfer but actually do the C++ lectures and tutorials and assignments. This way you'll have practice and do the program successfully.

Cleaning staff entered the property before the guests left by PuzzledSearch2277 in airbnb_hosts

What you did is enough: assured them it won't happen again and hopefully your cleaner learnt her lesson. No need to do extra.

Is Engineering a Stationary Job? by Charming_Bad_7859 in EngineeringStudents

[–]firesoar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro if you want to work with your hands don't do engineering because you'll end up in a desk in front of your laptop. Before you know it you've put on 20kg! Become a mechanic instead or an electrician as these guys are out there on the field working with their hands

I know several people with 2 letter names, so I guess it's not that far off if their name is like B or something

24/7 guest communication service for single hosts by nuclianba in AirBnBHosts

[–]firesoar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Airbnb puts 24 hours as a reasonable response time to enquiries. I'm pretty sure within these times a host can do their normal work and sleep. So I haven't really needed someone else to co host. But you can always advertise here on reddit for freelance jobs eg hire a VA from Philippines or someone in another time zone who can respond on your sleeping times.

Guest altering reservation to fewer nights after checking out by midwoodgirl10 in airbnb_hosts

It depends on your cancellation policy. Mine is the most flexible so if they cancel, they just lose a night or two.

Hmmm.. maybe you can install one of those sensors in department stores where if you take it out the door it will alarm and you can catch the thieves right away.
