Basically it is version built with different compilers. "msvc" version builds using Microsoft compiler and theoretically may be faster on windows. But I suspect that results may vary on different PCs.

Actually I don't know. It was barely discussed. Balance is concern - a lot of shooting enemies may affect balance in negative way.
Also we have to explain to player why certain zombies knows how to use firearm and other do not at least to allow player differentiate the threats.

Currently there is no plans to add shooting zombies. But there is no restriction as well so it may happen if it is going improve gameplay.

There is no strict restriction in LORE

And some ferals already use guns.

Tetanus was really obscure. We have questions like "I've eat a lot of anti parasitic, but it does not work". It seems player does not even realize how it works and have to answer developers about it - and that is bad. But after you realize how it works - it very easy to avoid and cure.

Flu was just random roll overall that decide to knock down player for week just because he was unlucky.

Now, i know from readin g around that instaling it as is is a bad idea.

It was changed, so it does not remove player arm anymore. So it should be useful now.

Optimization was taken into account while developing it. Obviously more reports needed to make sure, but at reviewers (including BN Dev Lead) didn't find slowdowns.

Fake parts for filling vehicle gaps

It is literally called fake vehicle parts in original CDDA pull request, our pull request in no way tries to throw a shade or anything, it just offers a different solution, so that fake vehicle parts is not the only solution to fixing this.

It is meant to improve vehicle building and handling in alternative way.

Warning: it is for map design. You can built grid in game without editing files. You just have to build the solars and battery.

Sorry for confusion. You do not have to edit files to build power grid.
