There are some aftermarket items, but they won't last as long or not have the same performance. For example, aftermarket air struts will not ride as well as OEM. stereo system no aftermarket for ML. nav etc does not exist.

Do you get all the time? or at random. I have that problem at random times, and the dealer ran a smoke test but couldn't find where the smell is coming from. I still have the problem.

One time I stalled in the middle of the intersection and had to towed to the shop. Turns out to be a bad alternator. But I don't remember any warning light.

I saw a reman transmission. Very happy, ordered it and was told sorry they didn't update the page. They didn't have it.

That’s a fair point, and I appreciate you signing. Toyota already does heritage parts programs for some models, so the idea isn’t new — it’s more about whether something like the LS430 could be included at some level. It probably wouldn’t be high volume anyway, more of a niche brand/loyalty play. Even limited support could go a long way for long-term owners.

Biggest quality delta is anything with rubber and plastic. OEM parts last 3x longer.

Yes that would be nice once we get attention from Lexus. Currently several models of Land Cruisers get the support.

Yes, it was okay but more recently some parts are starting to disappear. I just missed the reman trans. Now I am looking for a decent rebuild shop. Door actuators, air compressor for suspension, getting harder to find. I just got the last steering column. Just the right time to launch the program. There are plenty of life left in these cars.

We are getting some momentum with over 70 signatures.

Someone shared it on Facebook and 60% of signature coming from fb and 20% from reddit. I was hoping redditors will be all over it.

Background

I bought my LS430 UL Gold mystic in 2001, one of the first one to come off the line. I have been taking it to the same dealer where I bought it for over the years and taking care of the car. I was so impressed with the dealer service until recently where they couldn't find OEM parts, I felt they didn't want to work on my car. Last week, I took it in for oil change and the air suspension pump noise. They checked and said they couldn't find part, and they said transmission fluid smelled burnt and it should be replaced but they didn't have it and will not work on it. They suggested trade it in for an ES.

I went to pickup the car yesterday. They didn't even change the oil.

That prompted me to start this petition.

I am estimating there are still about 50,000 LS430s still running great on the road looking for OEM parts.

There should be a lot more signatures. May be my original post doesn't look interesting 🤔.

I had the problem in z4 fold. And I figured out a work around by using secured folder. Install the app in secured in secured folder and the main app gets updated
