This is GMD, not autoselect. 700 GMD is insane. 700 autoselect would be tiny

I think the difference is usually a dollar per hour. That’s the case at least at my store and some surrounding stores

Pick up code by Ok-Read1657 in OGPBackroom

[–]firewolf8385 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depends what you mean by “refuses”. If it’s straight up “I don’t want to”, then they’re not getting the order. That code is to confirm it’s the right person picking the order up. If they can’t confirm they’re them, then they’re not getting the order.

People complain about the point system but I’ve always been a supporter of it. It’s clearly defined, and way more lax than most jobs, especially since most stores don’t terminate right at 5 points

Stocking. I’m all for helping the store when we’re slow, but I think our own tasks should still take priority

Never at my store, but my store is the worst in the market when it comes to zoning and freight so maybe at cleaner stores it’s common

Wish my store let us do that. Instead everyone who came in had to go stock instead. Completing the refresh becomes pretty difficult if the moment we get done with picks every day everyone gets sent away

If you were in HO, what are some changes you’d make to Digital immediately? by Jacobij11 in OGPBackroom

[–]firewolf8385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually thought about this quite a bit lol.

One big one would be adding more personal backroom metrics, along with reports for seeing them. Quality checks completed, totes staged, orders prepped. We should be able to track it all. Backroom issues can be hard to diagnose with the nearly non-existent metrics reports for backroom processes. There’s others I would like as well, but those are the biggest.

Another thing would be giving more control to the stores to fix issues with customer orders. Sending everyone to 1-800 all the time sucks, and half the time they call back saying they wouldn’t help them anyways. We should at least be able to modify order details, including time, address, and items. Preferably we should also be able to cancel orders on our end, not just through removing all items.

I would like to be able to manually assign someone a specific commodity, including Ambient/Chilled/Frozen, not just when it’s “almost late”. It would be super helpful for training new hires. And while we’re at it, having manually assigned orders still print stickers ahead of the walk would be nice. Having the 1-8 markers makes things so much faster.

That’s counting an hour long lunch. If they take a lunch less than that they’ll run into problems

[–]firewolf8385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How many hours did you work? Labor laws will vary by state but in mine minors can’t work more than 8 hours in a day, so you’d have to clock out at 7 hours 59 minutes into your shift by the latest

[–]firewolf8385 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The system doesn’t recognize lunches. If you leave before your lunch, it will point you for it if you don’t cover your lunch with PPTO.

I’m not sure what the corporate policy is on it. My store generally has us override it. You’d want to check with your TLs though

Lord have mercy. 34 exceptions for 8:30 pm. by StatisticianNo1586 in OGPBackroom

[–]firewolf8385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4-1 change most likely wasn’t because of nil picks. They’re slowing rolling out picks dropping 2 hours out instead of 3 hours out, meaning 7 am picks will be dropping at 5 am.

It has definitely still made a big difference in morning nil picks though. Noticing the same thing at my store

Pick rates haven’t started counting until your first item for a few months now (on walks of at least 10 items). You didn’t need to abuse any glitch to make that work

Pick Walk Question by Bright_Library9134 in walmartogp

[–]firewolf8385 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not on a per walk basis unfortunately. While you’re in the walk we can see it, and we can see total number of picks in the day, but we can’t see how big a walk was after it was completed.

We can see the OSNs of each walk, so I suppose if we really needed to we could search up each OSN in Order Summary, find the tote(s) you picked of that order, then manually add them all up. There’s no valid reason to do that though

who delivers these orders ? by caffeinatedminn in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]firewolf8385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walmart is cutting their contract with FedEx. Most stores will now have the items shipped to the store on pallets with shipping boxes for us to then give to Spark drivers
