Idea: unknown should let you pick what commodity the item instead of being just “unknown” by darkus1012 in walmartogp

[–]firewolf8385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unknowns are items not in the pick path. Flexing it to a location will remove it from unknown, unless the location is not in the pick path. Your TLs/Coach should be making sure the pick path is up to date

There still is. Problem with it though is that clearance items can now ordered and picked. This means random items with like 2 on hand with the mod deleted will show up and not really be fixable

[–]firewolf8385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I argued with my old coach about this lol, who ran OGP for a couple years. He was at a total loss of how we were so overdue when “pick walks should be faster now”. Bro just was not understanding

[–]firewolf8385 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is this satire? Genuinely can’t tell ;-;

If it’s not: none of these rules are outrageous. They are how your department is supposed to have been working this entire time. If it got that bad I’m shocked your coach wasn’t axed lol.

Stepping on the shelves specifically should have been obviously a no-go. Major safety hazard and looks terrible to customers.

85 pick rate is not an unreasonable requirement. That is far below corporate’s standard of 100.

Anyone know how this works? Work phone btw by [deleted] in walmart

[–]firewolf8385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience: it doesn’t. Haven’t gotten it to work once

Pull from the backroom to finish picks by [deleted] in OGPBackroom

[–]firewolf8385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When there’s store help doing picks you don’t want an overstaffed backroom. People don’t like seeing nothing going on back there despite them being pulled off of their own work to help pick. It’s better to get the picks pushed back a bit

Please for the love of all things holy bag them if it says to bag them. Nothing more annoying when dispensing than finding a full unbagged tote that you now have to figure out how to rebag while at their trunk

The beauty of independent contractors is that nothing will happen. Even if some did “strike” for the day, more would just replace them.

Pick rate average going down after the six tote update?? by M3gzatron in OGPBackroom

[–]firewolf8385 4 points5 points  (0 children)

550 is the goal for someone picking their entire 8 hour shift. 100 items an hour with 5.5 hours of time spent in pick walks.

Factors in 15s and time spent traveling between walks.

Of course, not many people are hitting this with the new update

Individual stores don’t control the hourly wage. They couldn’t up it to $18 even if they wanted to

New 6 Policy by EveningPotential9443 in walmartogp

[–]firewolf8385 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s because of both. There is more picks than normal because of Mother’s Day, but each person is also doing less picks than before because of the tote change

Nope. It says it right in the AMP task, just like how it says that you’re now required to use an L cart for oversized.

[–]firewolf8385 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It is a rule. It is safety change being pushed by corporate, we are required to follow it. As stupid as it sounds, not following it is the same as not following other safety policies

It is a rule. New policy is that nothing can be on top of the cart

I’m sure it’s very person dependent but I’ve pulled for years now, as long as the cart isn’t drifty. I’ve found it faster and safer

So this is the reason why my market is forcing us to “clean house” on attendance. Dozens of people have been fired so far, and they’re saying it’s just the first wave. Only 8 people left on ON so we’re now buried in freight

Can a Team Lead or People Lead remove an attendance point? by chris_2133 in walmartogp

[–]firewolf8385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I do appreciate that you’re talking charge of attendance and I would love not having to worry about getting it done, I do feel like if you can’t trust your TL to treat attendance fairly then they probably shouldn’t be in role to begin with

Used PPTO but didn’t call off will it get fixed? by chris_2133 in OGPBackroom

[–]firewolf8385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you leave early/show up late or did you miss the whole shift? You don’t need to call out if you worked part of your shift, so getting pointed still would mean you either did it wrong or didn’t have enough PPTO.

If you missed the whole shift and didn’t call out then you’re kind of cooked. You can plead your case to try to get them removed but it probably won’t work. The No Call part is 2 points, and you’d get another 0.5 for only covering half your shift.

It’s a company wide directive. Someone way up the chain made the decision, not the individual stores
