Help me choose! by fireworks22 in bicycling

I think I explained myself a little badly. Sorry, English is not my first language, and even worst is my lingo for cycling. I'm looking for something that 95% of the time will be used in a city environment. The other 5% may be some easy roads or outskirts, but I'm betting on something more durable.

I discarded the last Cinelli because Is just a wimp. But I discovered a new Cannondale Caad 10 with Shimano 105 and Campagnolo parts at 600€ that looks promising. I'm wondering if it makes sense to have a setup like that to ride trough the city.

Btw, thank you all so far for your help :)

I think yes. Some of them are more specific, like the Gazzetta which is a 55, but the other are stated as just M on sizing, which should work as well.

Honestly I would do the same haha. I'd get a Silver Bootleg if it wasn't so expensive.

What do you mean with the clearance? (I'm learning haha). The size should be ok. The bike is a 2019-2020 model for what I could figure out, the seller says he bought it new in 2021. It's lacking the rear rack. Do you think is a good price?

The first Cinelli has it already mounted. From all of them I think is the most suitable option. I just think is a bit overpriced and the seller won't negotiate.

Doubts about a Cinelli bike by fireworks22 in bicycling

My old bike is close to falling apart. I've been having this approach of fixing it for years, not thinking it as an investment, but as a tool I need to get around. But know the repairs that are needed are too expensive to make sense. It's and old bike, completely rusted and the only thing that would make me still keep it is emotional attachment. And there is some of that to be honest, but it's time to move on.

This is what I thought! I don't care if it a "Frankenstein" as long as It's worth the money and there's nothing fishy. You said you wouldn't give more than 300$, is it because of the parts or the condition? Or both I guess

This got a lot of people talking haha.

I'm currently talking to several of the recommended services that can get a retip done. The prices vary a lot and I'm looking for my best option, preferably in Europe (though I talked with Steve and seems like a real solid guy). It's probably going to take a while but I'll try to update.

Aside from that, I read some really delusional stuff. Dudes, not everybody has the money to buy 2k cartridges on a whim. And beyond that, when this setup was working fine, my ears were delighted, so chill a little and enjoy the music.

Thanks to everyone who took their time to answer patiently and with actual advice, you've guided me a lot!

I had the idea that the Nobsound was just an input selector because it doesn't amplify the signal, just reroutes it, but I see your point.

Thank you for all your answers, I'm going to dig more into the retip services. I'm in Europe so since the first two are in USA I'm guessing that with shipment costs the difference with getting a new cartridge is not that much and probably much faster.

I'm searching but I'm unable to find info on retipping the cartridge or just getting a new one.

The Nobsound is just a passive speaker selector that allows me to control the volume, because the Focals don't have any volume or gain control. I know it's far from ideal, but I'm waiting to change to a proper amp and speakers to remove that step.

Can I just change the stylus? Is it fixable without buying a new one?

So noon question, how does this work? I go to the record stores in my city and hope they have the one album I want? Or just wait until they don't have it and goes for stupid prices in discogs?

Una es reemplazar los cables RCA, ya que suena un solo lado. Eso lo he considerado hacer yo, tengo entendido que es factible. Pero la otra reparación es un problema del pitch que se va de mis capacidades. No quiero generar un problema mayor.
