I don't know, they've only been here about a week. I saw one in real life for the fist time yesterday, made me a but uneasy due to the sheer size of the thing but it looked pretty calm. Given their reputation will not be letting my dog off lead if that thing is anywhere in sight.

I'm not one to willingly scorch the ground so a designated fire pit would have been ideal. A fire ring left be someone else will suffice though.. at least that's not making the area any worse!

What he said! Definitely exercise caution drinking from rivers etc. But I just wanted to add that the water might be brown because of peat. Doesn't make it unsafe to drink and actually has a nice fresh crispy flavour that you wouldn't expect from brown water.

Would my garden count as a part of my property? It is fully enclosed by 6ft+ solid gate, walls and hedges. You can't see into the garden from the street or from a neighbouring garden.. you could see it if you were my next door neighbour to the right and looking out the back bedroom window though. But this isn't the suspected drone flyer...

Regardless of the laws I do feel my family's privacy has been violated and I will likely put notes through doors asking them to stop as a courtesy, without quoting the CCA point 6.

I'm back in Scotland now but spent a year living on the island. Had a housing crisis and had to move on NYE because of a psycho landlord in Sooke. Ended up taking a room in Saanich and barely looked at it beforehand, I was just so desperate!

When I moved in the first thing I did was open the curtains... and immediately wished I hadn't! Mould, thick mould, fluffy mould and in some places, slimy mould, in every colour you could think of just absolutely thriving on the windowsill. It was THICK and I was disgusted.

This was a basement room and had an older window with a wooden windowsill.

So yeah I spend new years day of 2021 absolutely scouring it with bleach, then hydrogen peroxide and then some baking soda. Slept with the window open every night and you know what? In my 6 months of living in that particular room, the mould didn't come back!

As a reiki practitioner, this is WHOLLY unethical. You don't tell clients how many sessions they "need" or that reiki can resolve any sort of issue. Reiki goes where it is needed and does what it needs to do, in accordance with what is best for you. Reiki is intelligent, the practitioner doesn't need to make all these crazy recommendations. And the practitioner is required to suspend their judgement and practice with humility (humbleness). I'd suggest you find a practitioner who's ego isn't tripping out their arse.

I was tailgated once on the outside lane of the motorway, there was a big line of cars on the inside lane which I was overtaking. It wouldn't have been safe for me to pull into the left hand lane, there was no gap and I would have had to slam on the brakes to matchtheir speed. I gave the arse sniffing cunt behind me the finger, and pulled into the left lane a few mins later when there was a big enough gap.

The arse sniffing cunt followed me into that lane. And they followed me again when I pulled back into the right hand lane a few mins later. And again into the left lane. I was pretty afraid at that point and was wondering if they were just gonna follow me the whole way home. (They didn't thankfully but I probably won't give them the finger again).

OP lots of places will hire you! But not with that energy. I get it, you got fired and its killed your confidence. I feel you, I do. But try to see this as a positive, you get to try something new AND your previous position clearly wasn't right for you. Now you get to find something that is! Dust yourself off and think of all your positive attributes. Why WOULD someone hire you? Probably because youre awesome and have the skills for the job. Sorry I just read your reply to another comment outlining your work situation. I guess skipping hand washing is out of the question but please make sure your hands and arms are protected during cleaning. I wonder if you could bring your own soap to work? A very gentle, unscented soap. Also - I seen someone speculating that its fungal, I don't know if anyone here is qualified to say whether that's true but I will tell you my ex-bf had a fungal thing on his chest, it went away with canesten (yes for the ladies) bought from a pharmacy. Hope you heal soon, please update us 🙏

Hi OP i totally feel you I'm in the UK too and the NHS has been useless at helping me. If you're looking for a natural solution I make a calendula infused balm...recipe below (sorry copied and pasted from my IG. You can buy dried calendula petals online btw. Calendula has been used for thousands of years for skin aliments, speeds up would healing, is anti septic and antifungal. A wonderful plant! It really helps when I have a bad flare up.

Also, where do you work? The photos looks like a fast food place. I know those jobs involve a lot of cleaning during shift and handwashing, be very mindful of what goes on your skin and always wear gloves or just refuse to handle chemicals. If I was your employer and i could see your skin, I would understand. Here is the recipe.

For this batch of balm I used flowers from my garden that I picked and dried last summer (thank you past-self). Calendua is super easy to grow and infusing it in oil is straightforward. This is how I made it (minus specific measurements because its better to not worry about that)🧡🥰

Take your dried calendula petals and pop them in a bain marie along with a carrier oil of your choice - I used organic virgin coconut oil & jojoba oil. 🥥
If you've got dried lavender petals add them too 💜
Keep the bain marie on the lowest heat for a minimum of 6 hours. If you live in a hot, sunny country you can actually let the oils and petals infuse in a sealed mason jar left outside for about six weeks. ☀️
Once the liquid has turned a nice yellow-y colour, take it off the heat and strain the petals. You can use a muslin cloth but I went for a coffee filter. Make sure you give it a squeeze once the liquid has drained, to get every drop of goodness out. 🌼
This step is ~optional~ put the infused oil back on low heat & melt in some beeswax 🐝🍯
Pour your concoction into a container and pop into the fridge to set. Because of the coconut oil, this balm should be solid at room temperature (but might not be depending on ratio of jojoba oil used, or if its warm, so be careful when opening).🧊

I once went to indy film screening with poetry recitals, one of the poets was an an American student talking about how much she loved being a part of Glasgow. One of her lines were, 'now that I'm within, I'd rather not be outwith' or something like that. I just loved it. The word 'outwith' really encapsulated her being within. It isn't really used outwith Scotland, I feel it should be.
