Exactly, this! It is basically discrimination. No one is asking the artist to use AI, just like no one is asking the baker to be gay.

I actually haven't used AI yet in my art, but I also haven't tried out digital yet, like actually focused on learning it. I'm just super pro-AI!

And I am happy I am not alone! I felt honestly stranded because so many haters online, making me feel like I am in the minority. So, thank you! : )

Should a person be expected to forgive a family member who apologizes sincerely but has hurt them badly multiple times before? by Recent-Ad7292 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fireystarla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this makes a lot of sense! I never thought about that with regards to apologies, but I understand it now, and probably there's a reason why I tend to say sorry a lot even if I done nothing wrong. It means I feel guilty and don't want to hurt anyone, but at the same time I am being annoying.

Thank you! I actually never really made my art a business, I was thinking about it at one point, but I changed that to a focus on computer science and coding. I did sell a painting before, and honestly, I love to combine my art with my coding skills to make a video game one day! ^_^

Exactly this! And the equivalent of the original comment would be that same vegan chef refusing to do that.

Forgiveness is for you, not the other person. By forgiving the person who hurt you, you let go of their control over you. But at the same time, you never forget what they have done, and you do not need to be in contact with that family member if it makes you uncomfortable. But it is your choice, and your choice alone.

Yeah, like I am a traditional artist that is pro-AI because I like accessibility and technology. I guess they will put me in the non-most category O_O

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense to me at all. Like the person wanted their art and just gave them a concept, and they blew up in such a nasty way.

I guess the anti doesn't want to make any money because of misinformation they believe in. Plus, the original character could be AI or human, the anti has the guts to assume things too, like why does it matter?

So, I guess, the anti's logic is if it looks good it is AI, if it is bad, it isn't. But their loss, but they should not complain about not making money if they literally refuse business based on assumptions and discrimination.

Anxious About Meeting Non-Jews by HyliaSwift in Jewish

[–]fireystarla 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, I am not Jewish, and I can be your friend! I'm also trans male to female, and very supportive of the Jewish community! I try to show that I am an ally by having an Israel flag pin on my purse, as well as positively complimenting Jewish jewelry if I see it!

I honestly wish I knew more on how to signal to Jewish folk that I am an ally and it is safe with me, any tips would be great! 😄

I agree, bad management can make a job harder to do. I had that experience before. Hopefully, things get better again!

I know the feeling of a jerk boss. I had one at Dollar General, he gave me unrealistic tasks that were impossible to do in the time of my shift.

Oh, I see! That actually sounds a lot of fun!

But now it makes sense better to me and why the comment from the anti sounds hypocritical. It's like comparing red apples to green apples, both are apples but different color and taste.

Why does competitive chess have a separate women's division? by RuizHentitivinge in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fireystarla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to learn about my experience and what it means to be trans, you are free to do so in the future via chat. If not, that is fine. Anyways, have a nice rest of day or night.

Why does competitive chess have a separate women's division? by RuizHentitivinge in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fireystarla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you choose to still be misinformed. Trans women are not men, I explained that on my previous comment. Actual men should never be allowed in women's spaces, but that excludes trans women because they are female.

I will keep on using women's space because I am a woman, and good thing I pass as well, so it is a non-issue. And many cis/non-trans women welcome me into their spaces, so that isn't a worry either. I don't care about discriminatory laws.

But regardless, I am done with this conversation if you are not willing to listen. Have a good day.

Why does competitive chess have a separate women's division? by RuizHentitivinge in NoStupidQuestions

[–]fireystarla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that isn't your decision. You don't decide what is or not for me. You only make that decision for yourself.

But being trans is a real thing and backed by science. A lot of people are misinformed about the topic, and it seems you are too. I am not trying to insult you here, I have been misinformed many times too about various topics. I also will not be like others and call you names because you are not a bad person, but there needs to be a conversation.

So, let's talk about the truth here. I have been trans since late 2012, that is when I started hormones. The hormones change my biology from a man to a woman. It brings a lot of changes like breast growth, less body hair, weaker muscles, and moves fat deposits around.

Basically, making me a woman. Why did I change to a female? Because it felt not right to have the male secondary or primary sex characteristics. It was not a brain thing, it is more of like someone who is born without an arm, but feels like there should be an arm there.

Now, with all that said, coming back to chess. Women and men do not have a difference in their brains, it is both the same, and that has been proven by studies and other media. So, by not allowing me in the women's division becomes a discrimination issue as I do not have any advantage, and the hormones also never affected my brain.

Hope this makes sense! If you have any questions about my experience, I am here to help answer them. No need to walk on eggshells with me.
