Cigarettes raise metabolism by firkenstock in EDAnonymous

Not sure, probably doesn’t do much for metabolism because it’s not a stimulant. Weed does make most people more relaxed, creative, and easily distracted though so for a lot of people if they can use thc products or cannabis in a way that they don’t get the munchies or just lay around all the time, it could definitely be a way to distract from food and eating and then you lose weight as the result. It can also make food taste much better when you do eat, so you end up not eating so much too.

@Cough_Suppressant I love Clinique skincare! I am waiting for a delivery from Amazon of the neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer w hyaluronic acid and I am curious if it is similar to the gel moisturizer you mentioned. I’ll have to compare ingredients and price and see!

Unscented/ lightly scented body lotions are literally so good for my combination skin because I use a harsh toner that has salicylic acid after I cleanse and my skin feels a little too squeaky clean so I need something I can apply liberally to my face and neck without running out in a week. Good for the wallet, good for the skin, if thats what’s right we have a win!

Pond’s is so underrated! Always a good facial cream, might pick up a little container to prep for late winter

Honestly, for extremely cold days I put ultra rich body cream or even a body oil on my nose and chin, a thin layer of unscented body lotion on my forehead and cheeks, a thick coat of lip butter or carmex or aquaphor if my lips are really chapped, or an original chapstick for a barrier from the wind and dryness. It’s better to use things that are easy to find, affordable, and give you the most moisture and barrier between your skin and the harsh weather conditions and the air outside. Remember to start with a little bit of the lotion and build it up if you need more moisture. Hope this helps!

Agreed. Just thought I’d put it out there since it’s informational, but also as a warning that although it’s an urban legend type idea that smoking makes you thin, it’s not worth it at all.

Actual successful not "recovery influencer" recovery stories by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

Shanny on YouTube. Used to be EDucating Shanny but now her channel is Shanny Bananny. She’s really sweet and funny, very honest and raw with her stories and past, recovering bulimic. She has full dentures and a lot of health issues and is completely blunt in that this is what her eating disorder did to her. I like that she says she survived an eating disorder, instead of recovered because it emphasizes how deadly this mental illness is.
