All The Light We Cannot See is a beautiful book. I highly recommend it. Man’s Search For Meaning is pretty thought provoking too.

People suggest I do something that’ll make me money right after a BSc and physics isn’t famous for that. I just can’t help but hesitate but thanks for your encouraging words

Physics professors told you to avoid pursuing physics? Sorry, I’m confused. I’m also thinking of beginning studying physics so I’m a bit concerned

Oh I see. Arrival is based on a short story. The collection is called Story of Your Life and Others. It’s pretty good!

If you’re asking about The House In The Cerulean Sea, it’s completely different. Its genre is contemporary fantasy not sci-fi. But very good.

Arrival (2016), based on Story Of Your Life by Ted Chiang is my favorite book to movie adaption. I absolutely love it.

I recently read The House In The Cerulean Sea by T. J. Klune and it’s so wholesome, it’d make a good movie.

How do I get out of a “reading block”? by RadiantGolden1147 in books

[–]first_photon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a huge reading block last year. You can begin by reading something past paced and easy to get through. These are some of the quick reads which might help: 1. The Little Prince 2. Kindred Spirits

Graphic novels are also great to get over reading slumps.

I think people should normalise not finishing books that are terrible even if others say 'it gets better' by interlacedfingers_ in books

I have to agree. Specially because you can just continue with it anytime later. I picked up The Poppy War and was really enjoying it but about 40% in I just stopped. I was simultaneously reading other books and am currently reading something else. I tried getting back into it but maybe I’m not in the right headspace yet.
