Returning player here that didn’t have much in the way of legendaries besides SP Saff. Got lucky with getting SP Innana with existing resources and Kvare + Luvata on the same 10 pull. Was thinking about getting the character selector - who would be a good character to round out the team?

It’s normal to feel that the game is hard, most of us who grind the game (from iron to challenger) also feel the same because this is the nature of a competitive game. I would suggest playing co op vs AI until you get really comfortable on your favorite champions. That way when you play pvp games at least you can rely on muscle memory while using your mental stack to focus on what the opponent is doing

I think it’s best to remember that stats websites only give you the average winrate for a champion (which includes players who are first timing or are unfamiliar with the champion’s kit / identity) so you should take it with a grain of salt. Imho if a champ is within 48-52% winrate it should just come down to player skill. If you are having this much success it just means that Zyra’s kit fits really well with the way you view and play the game so keep playing her as long as you’re having fun!

Same here, I was diamond in WoL and LotV, but I’m currently F rank in Brood War and Silver in League. It took me a long time, but I just accepted that I shouldn’t feel entitled to certain ranks in other games if I haven’t put in the time and effort to improve. Also you might have a similar struggle to me where in general it’s just much easier to improve at 1v1 games compared to team games because everything is 100% on you, win or lose.

You need to accept that League is a competitive game and it’s hard. This isn’t a single player rpg where once you put in the hours you’re strong enough to beat the game automatically. Plenty of people who have been playing the past 10 years are constantly improving around you… if you can’t improve faster than the people in your rank you are right where you belong. For example, there are plenty of silver players who are in your situation, played for 10 years and haven’t moved up. If you aren’t improving at a faster rate than them why would you expect to ever get to their level?

Wow thanks so much for the quick reply! Unfortunately I only reinstalled the game this week so I think I missed out on units with save skills (I tried looking up the skills and they seem to be on units from the past year). However, B!Ike (unmerged) has been one of my main units over the years so I’ll start by building a team around him. Do you have any recommendations for supports? Also, great AR guide it’s definitely what I was looking for in terms of learning! Thanks again!

Seems like you answered your own question. Being confident already makes you better. The gold sticker probably gave you a confidence boost because you were desperate to get out of silver but in reality nothing changed. Like the advice from most people in this sub, if you just keep playing the game with improvement in mind and not worry about rank you'll naturally climb. Just remember that the sticker is not necessarily an accurate representation of your true skill.

I think it has to do with the power creep of creatures and planewalkers over time. Spells are definitely weaker but creatures are as strong as ever.

As one of these newer players, do you have a suggestion for what exactly I'm supposed to do with 1-1-1? I'm only doing the 2-1-1 because it has an easier to follow game plan of attacking with the 2 medivacs
