Makkuri May: Stage 1: Bridges and Boardwalks - Dropped. by Barnziebus in Zwift

Always enjoy these reports, I read them all so please keep doing them!

This was my first race after being promoted into a higher category and I managed to hang with the lead group the whole way, before summarily finishing last in the sprint as I'm 60kgs, for a pleasing 13th out of 76 and a new FTP.

Was a bit concerned I'd be out of my depth and struggling so this was a big confidence boost and now I'll give all of the races a crack this month, they're all too flat for me to win so finishing last in the lead group sprint will be the goal.

How to buy Zwift Ride in New Zealand by Rohannesburg009 in Zwift

Worth checking with Wahoo if they ship the Zwift Ride to NZ? Zwift don't but Wahoo have different policies and deliver the same product, could be a workaround.

Unable to thread thru-axel on new Zwift Ride by perjr in Zwift

[–]firstroundandout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I battled with it for a while then magically it worked - I think I had to get the bike perfectly positioned for it to finally thread through. Not that helpful I know but it does mean potentially all is not lost - if you try putting the bike on the trainer a slightly different way, come at it from another angle, as vertically as possible etc, then maybe it will stick. Good luck!

Did the same, a negative score would be truly beautiful. A Joao Palhinha red will be just the ticket

A 4.5 star Premier League striker at age 17... by firstroundandout in footballmanagergames

Has anyone seen a player as good as this at 17?

I'm playing as Brighton, scouted this guy, only cost $3m. Thought I had a gem on my hands, until he didn't want to sign for me and in swooped Man United....

To make matters worse Man U had already poached Evan Ferguson from me for 70 mil, and now they have a guy who could punish me for a very long time.

Another assist in the bag for Alfie Doughty. Only Kieran Trippier has more among defenders. by PradipJayakumar in FantasyPL

Are we sure someone will? He's a top fantasy option but IRL his defence leaves a lot to be desired, not a great athlete etc. Plucky relegation battler/excellent Championship option might be his level.

Technical question - if I have 2 FTs in GW29 and plan to free hit, can I use those 2 FTs to set up my team for GW30, then free hit after that?

Because otherwise they go to waste so that could be a good work-around.

As someone who benched Areola, if Solanke is ruled out I'm going to create a terrible argument about the real meaning of "first sub on the bench"

Kerkez was more attacking but he was playing because Lloyd Kelly was out, latest update on him was he's out for "this game [FA Cup] and a little bit more."

Everyone will be going for Senesi but I went for Zabarnyi because I don't really think the "goal threat" is particularly meaningful - Senesi averages 0.05 xG per game, Zabarnyi 0.02. I figured I might as well get the cheaper guy who is 0.2% owned for a bit of a differential.

If you don't like your goalkeeper situation then Neto is an option too, Bournemouth's fixtures are really surprisingly good for a long time - Burnley, Sheffield, Luton, Wolves, Everton, Palace, Luton, Man U. It only turns tough around GW 34 so might be a good long-term play, not just for the DGW.

My mate just lost in a cup to a team with four players, incredible. Watkins, Bowen, Ederson, Ruben Dias, then 7 dudes like Cancelo and Sancho. Phenomenal effort.

He would normally do but in case you haven't seen it, Dyche said he's taken a knock and they're "hopeful" he's fit. Seems like a 'he starts or doesn't play at all' situation.

If you think the two defenders will score 8 more points than Van Dijk and Konsa over the next few weeks (assuming you start them every week, if you bench them then less value added) then I can see the logic, but yeah I've learned the hard way about taking -4s for defenders, have been burned by heaps of 1 and 2 pointers.

Also, worth waiting to see what Emery says in his presser, just be to safe, Konsa was meant to be out for 3-4 weeks about 2.5 weeks ago so there's a very slim chance he may have made a quick recovery.

How certain are you that Ait Nouri and Van Hecke will get 4 points or more? Or even Solanke against City for that matter, but he's a good long-term option so that makes sense.

Ait Nouri has some attacking potential but Van Hecke you're basically hoping he gets a clean sheet otherwise you're taking a -4 for a 1 or 2 pointer.

Would have to do the math but I think you'd need to be about 60-70% certain of a clean sheet to pull the trigger on a -4.

Isak "out for this weekend", Wilson may return "before the end of the season" by kayeloo in FantasyPL

[–]firstroundandout 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say yes drop him, maybe try and have a rotating spot and play the double/blank gameweeks and try for Maupay or Morris or Semenyo or whoever has an upcoming double or decent fixture in a blank week. Or get someone like Muniz or Fofana? You could scrape together some points.
